Discriminatory behavior - I arrived to order when there was no one else there. I like supporting local, so I was exited to find this place to sit down. I ordered and they asked me to sit down at the table closest to the street because of my service dog. Even though they technically shouldn't have asked that, I complied to make things easier on everyone and because I know not everyone is used to/has the culture of how to treat able-bodied folks with service dogs. They asked me to pay on advance and I went to get my wallet when I realized I had lost it! I told them I'd be back. They asked if they should cancel my order. I said I'd look for my wallet and that I'd be back. I was very hungry and knew I needed to figure out how to get some food anyways. After a while of retracing my steps, I couldn't find my wallet. I was able to withdraw money with my bank app and I returned. This time, all the tables except for one were taken. I sat on the table that was free and asked for my order. The lady started arguing with me because of my service dog. I told her I was in compliance with the law. I carry my dogs certification, my healthcare professional's letter, and the Mexican law with me. I offered to show her all these things. She said they didn't matter, that the establishment didn't accept dogs. I said it was discrimination, she disagreed with me. The video shows what happened at that time. A Mexican family that was there but had not yet ordered said that if I was leaving they'd leave as well. They were around six loving individuals that embraced me and showed incredible solidarity. I was at the point of tears and so was the mom of the family. They assured me I should not be the one feeling bad, they should... The lady kept calling my service dog a "pet" and me a "pet lover," and her unwillingness to be informed in the law was enraging. I said I'd call the authorities and she answered "go ahead." Honestly, I hope they either learn how to treat people, or go out of business, because no one deserves to be treated...
Read moreThe food is good, and the price is about right. However, the service is horrible. They have an attitude, and the cashier didn't want to return $20 pesos for a drink that I ordered. It turns out they didn't have it anymore. I know it's only $20 pesos, but the principle of holding me accountable for something they didn't have after paying for it is unacceptable. They refused the refund until I had to press the button and explain that they should provide a refund if they don't have what I want. It was a Coke Zero, but the way she wanted me to accept it was ridiculous. They need to learn how to treat their...
