We had an amazing meal at La Coronela. One of the highlights of the evening was the owner's Griselda presence and willingness to answer all of our questions. It was clear that she was passionate about the food and took pride in sharing her knowledge with us. This personal touch made the dining experience even more enjoyable.
The service at this restaurant was good. The staff was attentive and friendly.
Now, let's talk about the food. It was undoubtedly the best meal we had the entire week. Every dish was bursting with authentic flavors.
I had a frozen mezcalita, and it was refreshing, perfectly balanced, and had just the right amount of smokiness from the mezcal.
One more thing worth mentioning is the price. Considering the quality of the food and the overall experience, the prices at this restaurant are very reasonable. It's a place where you can have a fantastic dining experience without breaking the bank.
In conclusion, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone craving authentic Mexican cuisine that is more elevated than your average taqueria. The owner's passion, excellent service, and outstanding food make it...
Read moreThis quaint little hole in the wall place turned out to have the most delicious shrimp. We ordered the Parriladas Mexicana to share. The staffs were very friendly. Our waiter was nice, very helpful, and spoke both English and Spanish. The decor and art were very colorful portraying the Mexican culture and history.
The food came out fairly quickly, and while we waited for the main course, they served us complimentary homemade chips and salsa. There were two types (both green) one was salsa verde which was mild, and the other was salsa habanero, so if you're not a fan of spicy food stay away from anything habanero.
When they brought the food, my wife was commenting as to how beautiful the food presentation was. It was very unique. The food portions were adequate and packed full of flavor. Out of the arranchera (steak), chicken (pollo) and camaron (shrimp), the shrimp was definitely the best! The grilled onions were better than most we had tasted at other restaurants we want to go back and try the ceviche next time. If you're in the area and this place...
Read moreIf you want bland mediocre food come here. For context, we came here after flying all day so we were extremely hungry and could eat about anything. I ordered the chicken fajitas and my wife ordered the steak tacos. The fajitas came lukewarm almost cold, and they got even more cold because they didn’t get me my tortillas until five minutes later. Then the chicken tasted like it was boiled, and as soon as the tortillas hit the air they practically turned to rubber. My wife’s tacos definitely tasted better, but they put half a portion in each one. Barely getting two pieces of beef per a taco. Overall, I wouldn’t come again, not great service worse food and nothing to write home about.
The waitress also requested us to pay at least 10% tip, which we were going to do anyways but is not something you ask of...
