What began as a recommendation from the Michelin Guide app turned into one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in quite some time.||Tiki Tiki is not your typical hotel, and as a guest, you quickly realise that you are treated in a quite special way. ||It's not just you, It's their philosophy to everything!||Every aspect of our stay was thoughtfully curated, from the vibrant, fresh and fulfilling breakfast to the serene moments spent lounging in the shade, overlooking the tranquil glowing pool surrounded by lush greenery and swaying trees.||When I first chose Tiki Tiki, I liked the way they had composed their interior. On days when I had to work, at least the kids, would enjoy themselves in a pool that is just a gaze a way. But boy it was only the beginning!||Every detail in the hotel is crafted with intention—from the carefully selected tiles to the curated Bossa Nova music that fills the air. The staff, Naomi and the hotel manager, Julie, so personable and extremely caring at every interaction. ||That aspect really elevates every experience. ||I'd sit and have a drink at the bar every afternoon, or when I would return from a day of exploration. Rich conversations with the bartender, Lorenzo, who is also a great artist – he kind of reminded me of Salvador Dali. His drinks equally impressive—elegant and flavourful, perfectly balanced without being overwhelming. ||Tiki Tiki strikes a harmonious balance between perfection and effortless charm.||I would return to Tulum just to stay at Tiki Tiki again. Whether I’m writing another research paper, composing poetry, or simply using it as a base to explore the authentic beauty of Tulum, this hotel would be my choice.||It’s not just about the reasonable nightly rates; it’s about the invaluable and impeccable customer service paired with exquisite taste at every turn. ||The swings, trees, butterflies, and morning birds chirping create a serene atmosphere filled with sunlight and Bossa nova music—a true feast for all the senses.||This experience has both kids and I with an aftertaste that would...

Read moreThis hotel is excellent. If you are looking for a boutique beautiful hotel without the extravagant Tulum prices, this hotel is it. I think it is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at.
Positives I felt safe the whole time being there. It is close to a range of restaurants and my partner and I just walked up the road to eat wonderful food every night. The rooms are beautifully designed and clean. The aircon is strong and there is also a fan if you get too hot. The shower is huge and the bathroom beautifully designed. They do happy hour by the pool in the evening which is great to relax. We would sit on our bed and stare at the jungle most days. We often saw Toucans! They allow you to borrow beach towels you need for your different tours. They rent out electric bikes so you can explore the area. The staff are absolutely wonderful and so kind! There isn’t many rooms, so it feels quaint and personal being there.
Other key things to note: Breakfast is modest. You get one small cup of coffee, fresh OJ, a bowl of fruit and some toast. You must consider though, you are not paying a huge premium to be at the hotel. For what you pay, this was reasonable to me. My husband and I often ordered one serve of Mexican scrambled eggs (for $7.5USD) and shared that between us too. No TV in the room. This wasn’t an issue for us. Look out the window at the jungle! If you want to go explore the main hotel zone on the beach taxis are expensive to get there. This is no fault of the hotel, it is a set price by the taxi companies in Tulum. It would be about $50 USD one way to get there. My husband and I went there one night for dinner. But we didn’t feel the need to go back as there was such good restaurants near us which didn’t cost a fortune.
Tulum is a very expensive place to be. For what we paid to be at Hotel Tiki Tiki, I felt like we won the lottery. This hotel is...
