I had such a lovely stay at Tiki Tiki! I stayed in Tulum for 3 nights during “low season”, and arrived midweek. I was the sole guest at this small boutique hotel for most of my visit, and enjoyed having the peaceful pool to myself in the evenings after long days exploring Tulum. I can imagine as the hotel fills up it would be a great place to meet other solo travelers- the common areas of the hotel are really beautiful. The staff were all so friendly and helpful during my stay; all of my interactions were truly warm. I really enjoyed the included breakfast (toast, fruit and granola with yogurt, and coffee). The hotel has e-bikes for rent, and I rode one down to the beach and then later to a nearby cenote (Cenote Escondido- the ride along the busy main road had me wishing several times that I had called a taxi). A highlight was the nearby Holistika hotel and wellness space. Guests of tiki tiki are able to enjoy the Holistika pools, a free yoga class, and other discounted sessions. I loved waking up every morning to a jungle view, and there are several restaurants and coffee shops a short walk away. I feel that no matter what time of year you stay in Tulum, Tiki Tiki is a special place.

My husband and I stayed at Tiki Tiki in the “hideaway royal suite” for 4 nights. We had a really great experience! - really loved the pool area with a nice bar and lounges to relax on (with 2 cute, purring cats :-) ). Enjoyed great cocktails every evening before the dinner - the room was spacious and nicely decorated, with a very comfy bed - the staff was super friendly - we could use all the facilities of their sister hotel (a few steps away) Holistika, including 2 pools, yoga classes and a nice restaurant - the location is a bit away from the “Center” (although center in Tulum is hard to define) but we did not mind and used a mix of car, bikes and taxis to get around (plus some nice restaurants are ~5 min walk away) - the only thing that could improve was breakfast: the option that was included was toast with jam and yoghurt; all extras such as scrambled eggs were at an extra fee. Also, the breakfast was served in a small room, but it would be much nicer to have it served by the pool Overall we loved our stay and would definitely recommend it!

Hotel Tiki Tiki is the perfect setting to meet your jungle-self, while still fully enjoying the divine beaches of Tulum. We highly recommended you go with the flow of this boutique, design hotel. Enjoy the musical spectacle of tropical birds in the morning and refresh yourself in the gorgeous pool (an optical illusion in itself) throughout the day. Feast on the meticulously prepared, fresh fruit, yogurt and granola breakfast. Read and rest in the hammock or meet new friends drinking cocktails to a hip soundtrack. This newly build paradise is impeccably clean, and the staff is always there when you need them – Julia, Ana and the rest of the team will make you feel at home. The location is ideal – 20 minutes to the Tulum promenade, as well as the tropical wonders of Muyil. Checking out of Tiki Tiki, expect to be happy, relaxed, and utmost satisfied with the life choices that brought you to this unique place of Mayan land.

What began as a recommendation from the Michelin Guide app turned into one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in quite some time.||Tiki Tiki is not your typical hotel, and as a guest, you quickly realise that you are treated in a quite special way. ||It's not just you, It's their philosophy to everything!||Every aspect of our stay was thoughtfully curated, from the vibrant, fresh and fulfilling breakfast to the serene moments spent lounging in the shade, overlooking the tranquil glowing pool surrounded by lush greenery and swaying trees.||When I first chose Tiki Tiki, I liked the way they had composed their interior. On days when I had to work, at least the kids, would enjoy themselves in a pool that is just a gaze a way. But boy it was only the beginning!||Every detail in the hotel is crafted with intention—from the carefully selected tiles to the curated Bossa Nova music that fills the air. The staff, Naomi and the hotel manager, Julie, so personable and extremely caring at every interaction. ||That aspect really elevates every experience. ||I'd sit and have a drink at the bar every afternoon, or when I would return from a day of exploration. Rich conversations with the bartender, Lorenzo, who is also a great artist – he kind of reminded me of Salvador Dali. His drinks equally impressive—elegant and flavourful, perfectly balanced without being overwhelming. ||Tiki Tiki strikes a harmonious balance between perfection and effortless charm.||I would return to Tulum just to stay at Tiki Tiki again. Whether I’m writing another research paper, composing poetry, or simply using it as a base to explore the authentic beauty of Tulum, this hotel would be my choice.||It’s not just about the reasonable nightly rates; it’s about the invaluable and impeccable customer service paired with exquisite taste at every turn. ||The swings, trees, butterflies, and morning birds chirping create a serene atmosphere filled with sunlight and Bossa nova music—a true feast for all the senses.||This experience has both kids and I with an aftertaste that would...

This hotel is excellent. If you are looking for a boutique beautiful hotel without the extravagant Tulum prices, this hotel is it. I think it is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at.

Positives I felt safe the whole time being there. It is close to a range of restaurants and my partner and I just walked up the road to eat wonderful food every night. The rooms are beautifully designed and clean. The aircon is strong and there is also a fan if you get too hot. The shower is huge and the bathroom beautifully designed. They do happy hour by the pool in the evening which is great to relax. We would sit on our bed and stare at the jungle most days. We often saw Toucans! They allow you to borrow beach towels you need for your different tours. They rent out electric bikes so you can explore the area. The staff are absolutely wonderful and so kind! There isn’t many rooms, so it feels quaint and personal being there.

Other key things to note: Breakfast is modest. You get one small cup of coffee, fresh OJ, a bowl of fruit and some toast. You must consider though, you are not paying a huge premium to be at the hotel. For what you pay, this was reasonable to me. My husband and I often ordered one serve of Mexican scrambled eggs (for $7.5USD) and shared that between us too. No TV in the room. This wasn’t an issue for us. Look out the window at the jungle! If you want to go explore the main hotel zone on the beach taxis are expensive to get there. This is no fault of the hotel, it is a set price by the taxi companies in Tulum. It would be about $50 USD one way to get there. My husband and I went there one night for dinner. But we didn’t feel the need to go back as there was such good restaurants near us which didn’t cost a fortune.

Tulum is a very expensive place to be. For what we paid to be at Hotel Tiki Tiki, I felt like we won the lottery. This hotel is...
