Shakti Tulum — Local services in Quintana Roo

Please don’t get scammed by Shakti Tulum like I did. The only reason I would give even one star is because the sales associate was technically friendly, but looking back it’s definitely more of a ploy to dress you up and make you buy more stuff. Which is fine, that’s her job. The clothes are RIDICULOUSLY overpriced, and I don’t mind splurging on luxury or even handmade if it’s worth it so that’s saying a lot for me…. they won’t tell you that they don’t accept refunds before you make the purchase. So, because I didn’t like a couple of items my boyfriend had to contact the owner via the sales associate and they said they would approve a refund and we can give give the clothes back later. Cool, so we wait a couple of days and go back to return the clothes and get said refund, and they say they didn’t approve the refund. then the sales associate tries to contact the owner for at least an exchange but to no avail, after almost an hour of back and forth. My thing is, don’t tell people you are going to approve a refund if you’re not, simply say absolutely no refunds under any circumstance (or maybe mention that before the purchase, put a sign up!!) and we would have left it alone. It still would have been a rip off but at least we wouldn’t have came back and wasted an hour of our vacation. I tried to justify spending $700 on 5 SKIMPY pieces of clothing by saying “at least it’s handmade, good quality”….WRONG! the skirts I bought shrunk 3x the size in ONE cleaning. I will never be able to wear them again… You’re better off buying clothes ANYWHERE else. Maybe if you just want some jewelry pieces you could have a good...
