July 6th – 12th 2025 Excellent vacation. Booked Elite Marina view double bed room for my family of 4 ( kids 8 and 12). Two adult cousins came as well, had their own room. Check in was fast and easy after a long travel day. We were meet by our Butler Isaac Garita after we arrived. He showed us to our room and explained how everything worked at SLS. Isaac was so welcoming and interacted great with our kids letting them know they were about to have an awesome vacation. Dinner reservation were made by Isaac for our party of 6 for the whole week within a couple hours of arriving. We had several check-ins daily from Isaac on Whatsapp and always at least 2 visits daily from Isaac just to be sure we were having a great time. If we are able to travel to SLS again we would definitely request Isaac. The food at SLS was good everywhere we ate. Starting with breakfast at the Market Buffet, there was a great variety of everything you could possible want for breakfast giving you the option to eat a hearty meal or have something light. We absolutely loved the omelets made to order by Victor Manuel Aranapool. His omelets were cooked perfectly with whatever fresh add ins you requested. Victor is the perfect guy for this job as he was efficient and very friendly while preparing your order to get your day started. The Market could improve on their table service as it took a long time for a server to acknowledge us and offer us coffee. On our last day we were sat upstairs in the area they designated for Elite guest with a small buffet set up but would’ve rather been downstairs with the full buffet options. Pool side lunch for us consisted of burgers, nuggets, fried mozzarella sticks and fries daily which we had enough of after a few days. We got lucky and saw there was a taco stand set up near the kids slide area one day but wasn’t there the next day we looked for it. Dinner restaurants were very good from the food and drinks to the service. Union steakhouse was our favorite. The service provided by David Tagano was10/1. I asked David if it was possible to get my daughter grilled shrimp from the restaurant next door since there wasn’t anything she wanted from the menu. David said he wasn’t sure but would see what he could do. When our food arrived he brought a big plate of perfectly grilled shrimp for my daughter. She had the biggest smile on her face. David went above and beyond with his service. We spent time at the family pool daily and had a great experience. Andres and Willy helped me with getting us Elite lounger covers and drying towels. Both guys eager to help. The pool situation like everyone else has said can be improved. My suggestion would be to change the Adults only pool to an Elite only. During our stay I would estimate 75% of the guests were traveling with kids. On our first pool day Giovanni Carmona was our server. He was the best! Giovanni made our group feel welcomed and comfortable. We never had to look for him once. He would swing by ready regularly to take our order for the next round. On day two he was assigned to another section of the pool so I politely asked him to show me to the Jefe so I could request him for the remainder of our stay. I didn’t get his name, but the manager of the area was happy to hear Giovanni was providing outstanding service and assigned him to our section the remaining days. It’s because of the excellent service we received that we would vacation again at SLS. One quick shout out to the bell boy Benjamin who was eager to help us get our uber pick up location sorted out on our Isla Mujeres day. Benjamin was spot on when he told me on the way back you will probably get a Taxi because you wont want to wait for the Uber. Benjamin knew! We ended up getting a Taxi back since the Uber app was taking so long to work. Last but definitely not least, a BIG thank you to the hard working gentlemen on the beach raking, shoveling and wheelbarrowing the sargassum to keep the beach clean. They were out there ALL day working hard. We are laid back travelers that love having a great time.

We just got back from spending a week at SLS Playa Mujeres Cancun, and overall, it was a lovely trip with some standout highlights and a few areas that could use improvement. The Beach: The beach is absolutely perfect—warm, calm water and soft sand. The resort does a great job keeping the beach clean, constantly working on removing any seaweed throughout the day. It’s a great spot for families, swimming, and relaxing. One day, we had an issue where a beach server wasn’t coming to our area, and we felt a bit overlooked. However, the pool/beach manager quickly stepped in, and he was absolutely amazing—professional, kind, and genuinely eager to make things right. He turned a frustrating moment into a positive one. Most of the other beach and pool servers were very friendly and attentive as well. Room & Upgrade Experience: Shoutout to the lobby staff, especially the kind lady who helped us upgrade to a swim-up room using our Costco credit and a small extra fee. It was worth every penny—the room was modern, clean, and perfectly located near the kids’ pool and beach. Housekeeping came daily and kept everything fresh, although restocking the espresso pods and water bottles was inconsistent—I had to call several times to request them. Fortunately, water was always available at the beach and bars. Pools & Grounds: The pools were clean and beautiful. The kids’ pool with slides was a hit with our son, and the family pool was nice too, though often too warm during the day. The outdoor areas, especially around the pool at night, are elegant and peaceful. The lobby is modern and upscale, and the resort overall feels new and well-designed. Food & Dining: This is where things got a bit mixed. • Breakfast at the buffet was solid, with plenty of variety. However, it’s only open for breakfast—no lunch or dinner options. • Lunch at Bungalow was just okay. Unfortunately, we found small rocks in both a burger and pasta, which was concerning. Ordering lunch from Twiggy on the beach was a much better experience—fresh and tasty. • Dinner Restaurants: 1. Caracol (Mexican) – Our favorite! Amazing service, the staff and manager went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. Delicious food and warm hospitality. 2. Cleo (Mediterranean) – Beautiful ambiance and great food. Staff was friendly and professional. 3. Fi’lia (Italian) – Disappointing. Long wait for food and the manager/host was not friendly. The food didn’t meet our expectations. 4. Union (Steakhouse) – Unfortunately, this was the worst part of our stay. We had a reservation for our anniversary, arrived on time, but weren’t seated until 30+ minutes later. The host/manager Arial was extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional—he raised his voice at us and made no effort to resolve the situation. This experience was really upsetting, especially with a hungry toddler in tow. The server tried to make up for it, and the food was okay, but the damage was done. 5. Lotus (Asian) – Good overall. Just a tip: if you want the hibachi experience, make sure to request it specifically when booking your reservation. Other Amenities: • The Press Café was a hit for quick snacks—ice cream, coffee, and pastries. • The juice bar was refreshing and a great healthy option. • Both indoor and outdoor gyms were well-equipped and clean. Final Thoughts: This resort has huge potential—the beach, rooms, and staff in most areas are excellent. However, restaurant consistency and management behavior, especially at Union, need improvement. That said, we are strongly considering returning, mainly for the amazing beach and family-friendly atmosphere.

Feels like a whole scam EVERYTHING COST EXTRA The location of this hotel is absolutely stunning, but unfortunately, the service and overall experience fall far short of what you’d expect from a five-star “luxury” resort. If you arrive early, don’t expect any kind of comfortable area to relax with your kids or even basic drink service. You’ll be left walking around in the heat in your travel clothes, trying to manage everything yourself. For a property that markets itself as “luxury,” its far from. Breakfast service was another frustration. Something as simple as salt and pepper at the table is hit-or-miss, and getting water, coffee, or any drink can easily take over 20 minutes—if you get the attention of a server. At the Bungalow restaurant, it was clear that the staff didn’t want to be there, and honestly, I don’t blame them in that heat and uniform. Beach service is nonexistent, which is shocking for a high-end resort. With a baby and a toddler, the last thing I want to do on vacation is walk back and forth from the main building just to get water. We were told there would be staff in white shirts along the beach, but in three days, we haven’t seen a single one. Pool service isn’t much better—you technically “can’t” order food by the pool, yet we watched other guests somehow getting served without issue. It’s inconsistent and frustrating. (Added the video of others getting service of food after we got told we couldnt do so) If you’re coming with kids, be aware that the “kids area” is very underwhelming. The advertised ice cream bar? Closed. The Barcaccia restaurant? Also closed. I saw many families with children under six, yet there was nothing for them to do besides a very small, rusty kids' pool. Food was another major disappointment. If you’re expecting bold flavors or even authentic Mexican cuisine, this is not the place. Most dishes were bland or served cold. Drinks are kept warm and flat, with no fizz to make them feel refreshing. The only bright spot? Cleo Restaurant shoutout to their team, as it was the only dining experience that actually felt worth it. And let’s not forget the *constant upcharges*. If you don’t have a dinner reservation, you’re only offered the option to pay extra for other restaurants. Their so-called “high-end” drinks? Extra charge—yet they’re basic brands that other resorts include. Even some activities come with an additional fee. Basically, everything you expect to be part of the luxury package you already paid for feels like a scam. In a hot climate like this, you’d think there would be more convenient water stations along the beach or walkways. Instead, requesting a simple can of water feels like an inconvenience. Fans in the lobby would also be a great investment for guests waiting for their rooms. The owners really should travel more themselves to understand what true five-star service looks like. There’s also zero atmospher, no music or energy that makes you feel like you’re at a luxury resort. They desperately need to hire more staff to meet even a basic level of service. Overall, this hotel has an amazing location but fails on almost every other front: service, food quality, amenities, and value. We are seriously considering cutting our stay short. Also to management asking me to reach out, i can clearly see from other customers this is false hope. I will NOT be reaching out but instead making it more public how awful the stay was via tiktok.

Amazing 8 night stay for a family of 4 (kids 3.5 & 5) Feb 28-Mar 8. I am a travel agent and I wanted to experience first hand before recommending it to clients. It is super family friendly and has tons of families.

I had the Captive Swim Out Queen, in building 2 facing the marina (room 2111) it was nice and quiet, had afternoon sun which made it great to come back to and let the kids swim 3-6pm. I see ppl mention the room was small, I didn't think it was small large bathroom and standard area where beds are. I liked the outdoor balcony, it had a gate you lock so kids couldn't access pool, you have to reach over to unlock. The in room snacks were a hit (kit kat, Hersey bar, Pringles, Skittles) and beer/soda/coconut water/gatorade. Ordered room service once took 30 min.

Food was beyond amazing! I am going to be let down at whatever all inclusive resort I stay at next. I will be let down at the next all inclusive resort. We ate at all the restaurants except Twiggy, due to the fact that kids club is 3+.

We ate at the Union steak 3x, Fi'lia Italian 2x, Lotus asian 2x (Hibachi once and regular dinning the other), 1x Caracol Mexican 1x, Cleo (lunch), Hudson Tavern (2nd dinner/apps), The Market daily for breakfast, Bungalow we sat and ate twice but most days pool wait staff brought our food two our pool chairs, Barracuda several times and had staff bring food to our chairs, The Press daily for coffee/deserts/ice cream, Verde daily for smoothie (great protein & supplement add ins). My kids NEVER ate off the kids menu or ordered something special, we always found something for them to eat on every menu.

Go to the Monkey Bar and get the Rose Gin & Tonic SO GOOD! Also on the beach ask for the passion fruit margaritas, it is made with real passion fruit pulp & seeds!

The dinner buffet opened up on our second to last night, we already had all our dinner reservations so we never did the dinner buffet. On the last night it was set up on the beach and they had a live reggae band and looked and sounded amazing.

Location was good about 40 minutes from CUN, I hired private transfers I love the company I have been using. We took an Uber to the Playa Juarez ferry one day and went over to Isla Mujeres and rented a golf cart for the day.

I 100% will return, and will be recommending SLS Playa Mujeres for my clients both families and those who are open to adults only areas (as the pool and restaurants were gorgeous from the time I spent walking through it). My kids already want to go back!

5 only real suggestions/complaints -

#1 Kids Club - This should be 3 years old if potty trained. I wish they would let you bring a 3 year old in for face painting/etc if it is from outside family hours.

#2 all staff needs to be told/know the nights entertainment schedule with times and where it is. We missed the puppets in the theater bcstaff told me it was 830, went at 830 and it was ending bc it started at 745...I think if this could be printed and put in a sign holder next to the theater & the kids club.

#3. Landscaping - when we checked into our room I said to my husband they really should cut the grass on our patio by the chairs. Our entire 8 nights it was never cut. Also beds/etc they needed landscaping/weeding help. Several palms had large coconuts that should have been taken down as it could be very dangerous. This complaint is also me being a travel agent and having been to a lot of resorts and recently spending an hour with the landscaping crew at Sandals Curacao (due to our drone landing in a palm tree, go it out all is good lol).

#4 I wish they would allow you to order at Twiggy and take it away. Parents w kids that want to eat here but can't leave 1 parent w several children (being by pools & water we like to have our eyes on the kids)

#5 The waterparks is AMAZING but I wish the panels were clear, there are so many slides and you never know what side your child is coming out. Once they climb up the stairs you can't see what slide they are going down. The waterpark water seemed much colder than the pool next to...

We are laid back travelers that love having...

We visited the SLS Playa Mujeres the first week of June and I truly can't wait to visit again.

To begin with, about a week or so before our vacation I was very hesitant that I made the wrong decision on the hotel we were going to be staying at with all of the negative reviews I was reading on Google and on TripAdvisor. I was at the point of cancelling the hotel and booking another one. Well, I am so glad I listened to my husband as he told me that other peoples experiences are not always ours. We had the best 7 night stay! Very relaxing with great service, food, and drinks!

Rooms: To begin with, we had booked an Elite Room with no ocean view. When we arrived we were asked if we wanted to upgrade to a rooftop ocean view room and we contemplated it but decided not to. When we arrived at our room, we ended up having a hot tub with the view of the Marina and we truly preferred that so much more because it was very private and intimate. As for the room, it was very spacious, the beds and pillows were so comfortable. The room had a king bed with a pull out couch. The outside had a hot tub with two lounge chairs that they could fill up for you as you request as well as they changed the towels on the lounge chairs everyday. The bed was made in the morning and they did a turn down service in the evenings. Throughout the day they came a refilled the mini bar, snacks, and Nespresso pods. If there were one thing I could change about the rooms is to have more storage space for your clothes but other than that it was always very clean and comfortable.

Butlers: Booking with Elite gives you the privilege to have 2 butlers. Shout out to Luis and Alexis who were AMAZING! They were so detailed and everything we requested they did it with a smile and went above and beyond. They were able to book all of our dinners at the restaurants and the times we wanted. They would even find us throughout the day at the pool, beach, breakfast or dinner to make sure everything was going well. This was a great touch. We have stayed at other all inclusive where we barely even say our butlers and had to be after them. On the contrary, they were so attentive to us.

Food/Drinks: I think this left the biggest impression on us. We are huge foodies and are very particular about drinks. To start off for breakfast we either ate at the buffet or did room service. Both were great options! The buffet gives you a variety of foods for everyone and the room service was quick and fresh. As for lunch we had lunch each day either at Twiggy or at Barracuda. Many days we ordered food by the pool. Our favorite dishes from Twiggy were the Tuna Poke Bowl, guac, chicken tenders and calamari. Our favorite dishes from Barracuda were the pizzas and the coconut shrimp! As for dinner, our favorite restaurants that we ate at 2 times each were the Steakhouse Union and the Mexican restaurant Caracol. The steakhouse meat was amazing, the fact that you are able to order a filet mignon for no up charge is unseen at many all inclusive. The food at the Mexican was so flavorful and authentic. Now for the drinks, I LOVED that the hotel used premium liquor rather than unknown name brands. They had brands such as several Patrons, Woodford Reserve, St. Germain, Belvedere, Grey Goose, Etc. This truly helped make the cocktails upscale and more crafty which is what we love. Our favorite bars were the Monkey Bar after dinner where they make a delicious Old Fashion and Lychee Martinis and Espresso Martinis. Also, the little bar right outside the Monkey Bar makes amazing spicy margaritas.

Pools/Beach: We are very big beach people and so the beach was nice but not the nicest given the fact that we are from Florida but it was still vey quiet and peaceful. Each morning we would start the day by laying out by the beach for a few hours before heading over to the adult pool. We would spend the rest of the day at the adult pool. Shout out to Marcos who took very good care of us. The adult pool was relaxing and some days had live music or djs. Having a swim up...
