Before I begin, I just want to state that this would be a one-star review if it wasn't for the staff at the resort. Alex, our beach waiter, was the highlight of the entire stay. He was amazing. Michel, the pool bartender was also awesome, he made it worth swimming through the frigid water to the bar every few hours. Ramone's hospitality was amazing, and his calligraphy notes to us will be our best souvenirs from the trip. Orfanel, William, the Sushi chef, and several whose names I cannot remember were all amazing. My three favorite things to do at these resorts are to enjoy the pool, enjoy the ocean, and eat better food than I normally do at home. At Beloved I got none of those things.

I tried to improve my initial rating, but 6 out of 8 evenings having to deal with either construction or annoyingly loud guests? Unacceptable. Concierge wasn't reachable by phone after the first two days and the App was broken, so I had to walk across the resort repeatedly to notify the staff. Please see the attached videos of the construction noise, loud guests, and noisy AC unit that prevented us from being able to get any rest before dinner.

The primary idea of this resort was that we traded food variety, access to a decent pool, bars, and more resort to explore... For a "quiet" atmosphere. On this basis, I genuinely feel like I've had several thousand dollars stolen from my bank account.

I spent about 4 hours per day in the ocean and pool in Punta Cana earlier this year, and I was able to spend a total of about 30 minutes in the ocean and pool over the 8 days at Beloved.

Atmosphere: 0/10 - Continual construction on one of the Caseta suite roofs and the neighboring resort could be heard throughout the Beloved resort for 6+ hours a day. The beach had a constant noise from boat motors, and the lovely aroma of uncatalyzed exhaust fumes. At no point in time did I feel relaxed and on vacation. Somehow the neighboring Excellence resort had a more high-end atmosphere.

Room: 7/10 - Beautiful and large, but located near the secondary hot tubs and pools with awful guests. Awesome shower! Rear half of the room somehow blocked all our devices' WiFi signal.

Facilities: 2/10 - The resort is clearly understaffed. I've never had to wait 20+ minutes for a table after peak hours at any All Inclusive. Our last meal, we waited 50 minutes before receiving our food, and then 5 minutes later we were told we had only 5 minutes before they closed.

Restaurants: 1/10 - On any given day, there is really only one or two restaurants to choose from for Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner. La Isla was closed for 50% of our stay. We ended up eating the same meal over and over again due to a lack of variety. The taco truck everyone raves about, where you will get something special that isn't on any menu.. that's over now, the guy left, and there are no seafood options, even when the menu states it's the daily special.

Pool: 0/10 - Zero (literally) chair availability over our 8 full days of staying at Beloved. Unbelievable. Water temperature was borderline unhealthy, and the other two smaller pools were even colder and in the shade 90% of the day (they also had zero chair availability).

Food: 3/10 - Inconsistent is all I can say. For one menu item the Scallops were great, the other Scallops dish tasted like white bread soaked in water. We had one really delicious Lobster and Risotto meal (special anniversary dinner), and then the regular version of the Risotto and lobster was mediocre. The beach snacks were pretty good compared to other resorts, but I could make better food at home compared to most of these meals. What really made it sink in, though, was going to Excellence for a meal... and the shrimp were jumbo sized. We came back to Beloved and that same night the shrimp risotto had small shrimps in it. My experience at Finest Punta Cana was the exact opposite to Beloved.

Beach: 2/10 - Forced to spend $60 a day (eventually refunded) on a private cabana, because -like the pool- there was a near certainty of no chairs...

We just returned home last night from a week at Beloved and it was wonderful. From being greeted at the door by Mex with a signature cocktail, the ladies and gentlemen at reception and Guest services, and Christian who gave us an excellent introduction to and tour of the resort, the beginning of you stay at Beloved is like nowhere else.

They have best waiters! José, Elias, Ismael, Angel, Ricardo, Brian, the list could seriously go on forever! We met José our first night and he set the tone for a wonderful stay.

We dined at every restaurant, all of them were delicious, but our second night at La Isla Trattoria, we were served a chef's menu by Chef Martin which was amazing! The food was amazing as was the ambiance. We had a stunning view of the moon rising iver the beach and even saw a few fireworks off in the distance. The maitre'd, Gorge checked on us frequently, always making sure we were comfortable.

Le Bisou's breakfast was a treat and the buffet perfect for early morning excursions, but do try the eggs coccotte and crepes off the menu, if you can. Alberto was there every morning we dined and was charming and delightful. For dinners there, I tried the canard and the filet, both were wonderful! Lupitos steaks were beautifully seasoned. But the first night I tried the duck confit and red rice and that was a true delight! The sweetbreads were smoky and had a wonderful grilled crunch around the edges.

El Mar is situated on the beach and the iguanas play or laze around the restaurant. My husband had the octopus aquachile and Caribbean beef ribs which were phenomenal and I had the fish of the day, Mahi Mahi, over eggplant and veggies. It was delicious.

Our last day we had La Isla for lunch and a warning, the pizzas are big enough for two! I had the roasted bell pepper pizza with anchovies, capers, and black olives and it was the perfect salty for my tastes. My husband had the fish mille-feuille which he said was a meatier fish, less flaky, but the taste was perfect and, after the shock at the first bite, texture was good as well. The al pastor tacos at Bocadito were the first thing we tried after arriving and were delicious. Just a hint of spice without being uncomfortable. The baristas at Cafetto made the best coffees and it became a habit to start our mornings with a Macadamia latte. My husband also enjoyed the ristretto and the Black Forest Vienna coffee. The name of our morning barista escapes me, I want to say Cristiana, but she was wonderful! She took time to recommend various pastries and decorated the tops of our lattes with beautiful designs.

The beach staff was fabulous, the concierge, Fabiola, always had a smile and a kind word, and our bartender, Oscar, was so wonderful. Our drinks never ran out and he made sure we had plenty of water as well. We never made it to the pool bar, but I'm sure it was just as wonderful.

Our final day we did the included Hydrotherapy treatment with Gustavo and both of us regretted waiting until our last day. He was wonderful and explained every step thoroughly and helped to assuage my worries about the cold plunge pool, but it really does feel amazing.

All of these were wonderful, but the person who will forever be the highlight of a trip with nothing but highlights, was the sommelier, Lorenzo. I cannot say enough good things about Lorenzo and his attentiveness to both the guest and the wine. He introduced us to a new wine from Mexican vineyards every night and did not disappoint once. The only disappointment was discovering these wines are only available in Mexico due to the small areas where vineyards flourish. My personal favorite was the Casa Madero Shiraz and my husband loved the Monte Xanic Gran Ricardo. And, if you like a little spice with your appetizer or dessert, a taste of Xila from Lorenzo will hit the spot!

It was by far our best vacation ever. When they greet you as familia and promise to spoil you, please know this is not an exaggeration! Everyone was warm, welcoming, and kind. By the end of our first 24 hours, we were planning a...

Just got home from a 6 day stay at Beloved for our babymoon and I can't even begin to describe how amazing this place is. The pictures speak for itself with all the beautiful views and the expected amazing weather, but what we could not have imagined was having a staff that so incredible. My husband and I chose this place because it seemed very chill and peaceful (which is absolutely is!), but we are people persons who love to get to know others and the staff really became a huge aspect of what we truly enjoyed about our stay. They all made us feel like family and were genuinely so excited for our baby girl ❤️ Its rare to see staff that are so connected with each other and happy while working so hard. This speaks to good management that cares about their staff. We were constantly pampered and tended to. We were both pretty skeptical about going to an all inclusive resort and worried about surprise costs at the end. It ended up being more amazing than we could have imagined and no surprises. There is truly so much included, we barely were ever hungry because there is a constant supply of food and drinks 😆 Even in the rooms, there are snacks and a full bar. As a person who drinks a ton of water and is pregnant, I constantly had plenty of water and they had so many fun options for virgin fruity drinks! All of the food here was fantastic! I don't have super high standards, but my husband really does and he was pleasantly surprised! Another important note, we were just your average people. We don't have a ton of money, so we didn't do any extras and only did some light tipping at the end, even though they deserved so much more. But this never changed their treatment of us. We were treated like we were special guests the entire time, even down to the very last day. Literally, the only negative thing I can say is that I didn't get to do any water activities because I'm pregnant. But that is not on Beloved, but a liability issue with the company that provides the service. Understandable, but a huge bummer. Thankfully just swimming in the warm, clear waters was enough to satisfy me.

To the people who made our stay so memorable: *Marisol - She was so much fun and we love her energy! She felt like a sister to us and made sure we enjoyed all the activities available. We are very thankful for her role at the resort! *Ramon - He was truly so sweet and worked with Chef Carlos to talk with my husband about all the local foods. Even made some personal artwork for us for our baby girl which will be such a sweet souvenir to remember this trip. *Fabiola aka Fabulosa - She is a true gem. She was so caring to us and our baby girl. She is just a joy to talk to and be around, despite being out in the heat all day working hard. *Alex - He is such a hard worker and so friendly. He made sure we were well taken care of while out on the beach and checked in on us often. We also had Antonio at times as well and he was just as great! *Juan Carlos - He made us feel so special the minute we walked into the doors and again on our way out. He made the check in and check out process feel so easy, along with all the ladies at the front desk! *Brenda and Citlali - We had such sweet conversations with these two women. They had such genuine excitement for our baby girl and made us feel special. Also, props to Brenda for being patient with my husband using his Spanish and even teaching him more along the way to help him lear more and improve. She was so gracious about it and he really enjoyed it. Cristina and Jafet at Caffeto - These two were such a joy every time we stopped by (and that was a lot lol!). They were always excited to see us and welcome us in every time. Other honorable mentions for excellent service and friendliness - Brian, Alberto, Cirillo, Benito, Axcel, and Artemio. Honestly, everyone there deserves a mention including the cleaners for amazing room service and just anyone you walk past at the resort, they all greet you with a smile. We cannot wait to come...

What really made it sink in, though, was going to Excellence for a meal... and the shrimp were jumbo sized. We came back to Beloved and that same night the shrimp risotto had small shrimps in it. My experience at Finest Punta Cana was the exact opposite to Beloved. Beach: 2/10 - Forced to spend $60 a day (eventually refunded) on a private cabana, because -like the pool- there was a near certainty of no chairs being available.

By the end of our first 24 hours, we were planning a return trip.

* Cristina and Jafet at Caffeto - These two were such a joy every time we stopped by (and that was a lot lol!). We cannot wait to come back again!!!
