My husband and I stayed for a week in March and adored our time there. The location is ideal in my opinion. We really enjoyed our short walk to the beach, mind you if you’re not sure on your feet, the cobblestones are uneven and the road is a little steep going straight to the beach. I’m sure you can rent a golf cart somewhere if you needed.. Equally we loved the walk into town. It was a great opportunity to look around at some of the homes and rentals. This is a perfect distance away from some of the town noise. The hotel is a perfect size with just 15 rooms. We found often we had the rooftop pool to ourselves. The staff was lovely and welcoming, and the restaurant was a five out of five. The food was incredibly delicious and everything was so fresh. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back here my only constructive criticism and I hate to write this was we found the cleaning staff was not great at replenishing things. Our first day there - so the room would be considered at its freshest, the shampoo had not been refilled Which I only discovered after I was in the shower…. I found the front desk staff as accommodating as they could be, but it was frustrating for them as we needed to ask daily for something whether it was fresh towels, coffee, toilet paper. There is construction going on in a few different spots very close to this place so be prepared for a little background noise. It didn’t bother us and I knew it was not something that was a controllable. The bird watching and sounds made up for it. tips and tricks don’t pack a robe as the room comes with two robes. It also comes with a small cooler and a beach umbrella as well as a beach blanket and two beach towels. They’re fresh coffee grounds so you can make your own coffee in the morning. breakfast is served until 1 o’clock so if you’re looking to stretch your budget a little bit, you can take advantage of the late breakfast and skip a meal during the day they give you 190 pesos credit for breakfast in the morning which we found was more than enough. There’s also two bottles of filtered water provided that you can refill at several different stations in the hotel and is safe to drink. We had zero tummy issues the entire week and ate at all sorts of different incredible restaurants in San Pancho. Do not overpack to this place you are going to wanna leave room in your suitcase to purchase amazing things from the different shops stands in markets. Also keep your footwear very practical no need for anything with a heel or wedge as there is lots of uneven surfaces to walk around on. It’s a very casual town that is family, friendly, and very safe. We walked around in the dark and never had any issues and never felt unsafe. There are lots of very friendly dogs. If you’re not a dog person this place might not be for you. If you’re going down to swim at the beach, we found the most southern part of the beach the easiest to swim in as the brake waves are quite large and a little daunting. out of our seven days there was probably only two days that were surfable for our level. There’s a little tour place downtown that you can book with we did a snorkel trip to Coral Island, which we really enjoyed and ended up seeing whales while we were out there. We also saw whales from the beach, which was...
