We don’t normally leave reviews but this was pretty disappointing since we were very excited to try this place as the reviews were excellent and we were looking forward to a special night with some craft beer and tasty eats in San Pancho. We ordered a flight of beer from a server and were not served again. Despite not being a part of the pretentious crowd who seemed to garner all the attention, we persevered and ordered two more IPA (which were actually quite tasty) directly from the bartender. Further to that, we wanted to order food, but even going to the bar for service did not jilt them into competence; the service continued to be embarrassingly negligent. We are totally down with “vacation time” but to be completely ignored in a very small space by a bartender and two servers is ludicrous. Seemed like they waited on people they knew and didn’t have time for new people who wanted to try not only their beer but also the food. We eventually gave up and went down the road for some excellent pizza. UPDATE: We were super impressed with the heartfelt response from the owner so we decided to go back and give it another try (unbeknownst to the owner). Once again we went in as regular customers but this time we were able to enjoy the delicious libations and tasty food. I’m happy to say that the first experience was likely just a wrinkle in their service. We tried all the beer again as well as shared the empanadas and hamburger. Honestly, we did note that there weren’t many of the yummy fries on the plate but without saying anything our server brought more fries apologizing about the short. I think that demonstrates a real care and attention to detail and service; we noticed that all the staff seemed to be making a concerted effort to welcome all the guests. I’m glad we went back, this time we really enjoyed the beer, the food and service. Thanks for caring to make a...
Read moreI absolutely adored this little craft beer & live music shop. Live music is played here every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday night. The musicians are great, and the vibes are super chill & happy. The servers are just fantastic as well! The beers served here rotate often since they’re all locally made in small batches. They have a small menu that is great for appetizers, but they also have some larger meal items like burgers. If you don’t like beer, they have a list of delicious cocktails. My personal favorite drink is their non-alcoholic house made Kombucha. This is a must try!!
Food: Cheese plate: This is a large portion size to share with several people. It’s served with 5 different cheeses, olives, grapes, almonds, apples, bread, & honey all nicely plated on a cutting board. Sundried tomato hummus: This hummus really surprised me! Everyone in my group LOVED this. It had so much flavor & was served with some crackers.
We came here 4 times over the course of a week, so I’d definitely say that...
Read moreI’ve been coming to Cervecería San Pancho for years, and it’s usually one of my favorite places in town. The food is always tasty, the beer is great, and Edi (the owner) is just the kindest — always smiling and making people feel at home. I’ve brought friends, family, guests and always had a good time.
However, last week I had a really frustrating experience. I placed my order and waited... and waited... and waited over 40 minutes. I finally went up to the bar to check in politely, and the young woman who attended me was incredibly rude. No explanation, no apology, just a cold, dismissive attitude. Honestly, it left a bad taste in my mouth — and I hadn’t even gotten my food yet.
I know places get busy, but the way customers are treated matters. I still love the spirit of the place and hope this was just a fluke. But if this is the direction things are going, I might have to rethink where I...
