Overall, we had a very nice stay at this hotel . We stayed 6 nights. What do we liked most: - the beautiful Caribbean Seafront, of course! - The fact it’s very close to Tulum’s ruins. - That it’s in a (pseudo)-protected area, meaning it’s less polluted and dirty than the rest of Tulum. - The restaurant, its food, fresh coconuts at the beach, and its STAFF! The efficiency and warmth of Emanuel, Adriana, Esteban, José and others was a real pleasure. - In the reception and overall management, Enrique is a star, very professional, effective and attentive. - The massage is top level (really! And I’m rather difficult to impress!). Ms. Erika is an incredibly talented professional, so me and my husband did the massage twice and We LOVED it!!! Besides their skill and talent, they were very friendly and the massage is made by the beach, which was heaven! - The cleanliness (& the cleaning staff (all women) was super friendly). What we liked less : - The reception staff, except Enrique, were not very nice or efficient. One, Ricardo, seemed annoyed all the time, not costumer-friendly at all. He was even condescending and arrogant on some occasions. Other guests were complaining about the same. - Guests allowed to smoke and music all day on the beach (even as it was not to loud) although we are staying in a national park. But the worst was that we had to move bedrooms several times, so here are our lessons learned: - We first had room D - beautiful in the picture, with balcony towards the sea, etc, But we soon discovered that every day around 7 AM there is a big truck that delivers water to the hotel, just besides our room! So we were awakened by its loud noise and toxic fumes!!! Horrible. - After some attempts, we moved to the presidential suite which was free for 2 nights (great!). Afterwards, we had to move again. This time to room 1, which is theoretically sea-view, but in reality you have zero privacy, so curtains have to be closed all the time. It’s small. - We met a guest who had room 4, and was complaining of the same, plus being too close to restaurant, so very noisy. - So, if you can, get the presidential suite. If not, be careful when reserving even if you ask for a quiet room (as we did). A final info: since the hotel is inside a park , every time you enter you have to pay a small amount. For this reason,There’s a big car queue to pay for the park! And so it required some organisation for us to return to the hotel after 17h, when it’s calm.

Diamante K is heavenly. We fell asleep every night to the sound of the surf and woke up to the sound of bird cries. Our room (#18) was spacious, romantic, with windows on three sides. There is a small bay of a beach that feels protected and cozy, a small but gorgeous pool, a pavilion for yoga, and ample outdoor lounging space. We spent two nights lying on a lounger looking at the stars ✨ The small size of the resort made it feel luxe: there were enough daybeds/hammocks/loungers for everyone and never more than 20 people on the beach (and this is in high season)! Breakfast was amazing and all the food in the restaurant—fresh/made from scratch. Receptionists and staff were highly responsive. Special shout out to Emmanuel, whose flexibility and quick thinking ensured that everyone had a table, even when the restaurant was overflowing. We would love to come back here again and again. Only small feedback: it would be helpful to have a table/bench/any lkind of flat surface in the room for laying out our things. Also, pro tip: as some of the other reviews mentioned, there is a ridiculously long line to get into the park from 10am until 5pm. Whenever we left, we planned our day so as to return after 5pm. (Going to the cenotes, for example 1-5pm). Mezzanine, the Thai testaurant next door is also lovely.

I really enjoyed staying at the Diamanté K. It is in the national park so if you exit the park you have to pay to get back in and the band only lasts for that one day. This was doable and it supports the park conservation. Worth it IMO. I did a group tour that included a band for the park one day so when I came back I didn’t have to buy another. Alex and the team at the front did a great job answering Qs, welcoming me, and being all around pleasant to interact with. They are a wealth of information if you need help. My room was cared for each day and it was so nice to come back to after a busy day. The ceiling fan was inside the bed and worked REALLY well. I run hot and this fan worked so well I had to turn it off. My bungalow was really close to the road so I could hear motorized vehicles randomly and the water being filled one day. You can also hear the music from Casa Maria briefly in the evening, but it wasn’t bad at all. Staying on the beach in nature was exactly what I wanted and found at DK. I went during seaweed season so my photos reflect as such - this wasn’t bad for me since I walked to the beach nearby. I’m sure the diamanté k only gets better without seaweed.

I took two yoga classes, but the mats were dirty and awfully smelly. Ridiculously enough, I'm reading some comments now, and I sadly notice that I'm not the only one having this poor experience and the hotel ensured that the mat problem would have been solved. Liars. During the three days, the service of the restaurant was very unreliable, each waiter would have his own service style. The only thing they had in common was asking for the tip at the end of any service.

The prize goes to the waiter that I did not even see during the meal, who asked for a tip at the end of the breakfast which was already paid. I couldn't believe my eyes when he reached out with the check saying "breakfast is already paid, but the service tip is not included". The service was limited to the waiter bringing you your food and drinks. Nothing less, nothing more. When I took some tea, a waiter brought only a half-filled cup, and when I asked for more water he brought another cup that he used to fill up my first one. Needless to say, that half of the water slipped out of the cup.

The evening we arrived, while sorted at the restaurant, I asked a few questions about the dinner menu, and the waitress was not able to answer my questions about the fish dish on the menu, but she did not even offer to ask her colleagues. I had to insist so she would ask someone. Her service was quick and she did not seem at ease. I ended up taking a vegan chimichanga which was bland and sour.

The first day, for breakfast, the waitress did not even say "good morning" and another waiter waited at our table, I took some eggs which came with some salad, plantain and beans "mole" spread. No bread or tortilla were offered, I asked for some bread and they brought two slices. However, when I asked for some more bread for my partner, they promptly said that only two slices where included and the third slice would be an extra. I never experienced something like this.

The second day, for breakfast, when I asked for bread, they brought me two slices with butter and jam. The last day, when I asked for bread at breakfast, I only got one slice, no butter, no jam. I'd like to know, why?

During the day some waiters seemed to address special attention to us, which seemed very bizarre and fake compared to the first days. So, each waiter had its own style and seemed to follow different rules. This inconsistent behaviour was not pleasant and made us uncomfortable.

The last day, during the morning, when another waiter learned it was our last day started to put more attention to us, asking if we needed another beer or anything else, and he ended up handling the hotel business card with his and hiss colleague's names and asked to leave a nice review for them if we enjoyed the service. When I decided to honestly express what we experienced, I started mentioning that the service was not consistent during our stay and that it was hard to leave a nice review without mentioning the rest, he seemed genuinely interested when he cut me off saying "oh - it is true some waiters didn't come back today - write a review only if you are satisfied, we receive 3 dollars if you mention us"...he didn't ask why we were not satisfied, and did not ask what have happened. He didn't really care. I didn't feel listened and just nodded at him and said goodbye. I hope he will read the whole comment now and respect guests when they are vulnerable enough in sharing their opinion with him. Which is always a very delicate thing to do.

The swimming pool was always dirty and the cleaning seemed not to function. I tried to get in once, but could do it.

The ocean view and panorama are gorgeous though. The sea side on this side is in full transformation. You need to pay during the day to enter the "protected" area. This seems odd, hotels could include this in...

Our trip to Tulum was great, but even better since we were accompanied by Diamante K. We booked the presidential suite which was a great experience. The room was more than big enough. Upon booking we realized breakfast was included which was a really nice touch. Unlike other “resorts” this was more like a “retreat”. A very quiet place that sometimes came alive around the night time. Something we didn’t use like the yoga classes in the morning or the pool they have there. Pretty much everything else we took advance of. The food was pretty solid, my favorites were the sirloin tacos, guacamole, salmon, coconut shrimp, octopus with the side of potatoes were to die for. As for the breakfast we really liked the all the food on the menu, the juices were phenomenal. I would avoid the pizza as my standards of pizza are very high. The rooms were so cool and I loved how we had outdoor showers, it really felt like we were off grid! You also might come across a few cats as they are taken care of by Diamante K it was a special treat for us to see them. Other things like iguanas sunbathing on the rocks, fast crabs that move in the night. There is something special about waking up and being able to get to the beach within seconds and to the front desk within seconds. No polished floors here, no elevators or long walks to get to point A. & point B. At night on clear sky days you can see the stars. I want to say there no more than 40 rooms and typically no more than 80 people here at a time! For advice for anyone staying here there are little things to keep in mind to make sure this place is for you. There isn’t A/C only a small but powerful fan that is above your bed. All beds have bug nets as the rooms are not fully sealed around doors and windows. We didn’t really come across any insects in our room, so we were not really bothered there. We stayed there during there winter months so temps were around 68-85 degrees round trip. The roofs are made out of organic material like palm leaves which adds a really cool touch. I think down the road if they got A/C units, re rapped their roofs like Azulik has theirs and invested in more comfortable beds this place would be absolutely perfect.

Side note we rented a scooter to get around and I would do that all over again for $150usd to get around for 7 days made all the sense. Really enjoyed that vs renting a car or constantly needing a taxi.

Lastly the staff and everyone who works at Diamante K were extremely nice! I will be back and I will be recommending them to...
