Beware of this hotel. Our experience at Cinco Tulum, late January 2022, was extremely poor in all respects and, as it turned out, was far more expensive than planned. And this poor experience was not only endured by us. The couple staying next door to us suffered the same fate. So, long story short as they say, if you are looking for a calm, restful beach holiday, do yourself a favor and skip this joint. Much of our complaint about Cinco Tulum stems from being overnight guests there. If you are just going to the beach (and don’t mind enduring loud, thumping straight-four house music all day), you’ll be better off. Even then, it's a small slice of beach front and it's crowded to boot. That said, for us the entire experience – the poorly located rooms, the constant noise, the small, overpopulated beach area, the lack of helpfulness and poor responsiveness of the staff – was a real disappointment. Cinco Tulum provided a miserable experience, far below what I feel any reasonably experienced traveler/vacationer would expect to have to bear. One egregious issue was the constant operation of two large engines in constant operation on the property (driving electric generators and waste-water purification system we were told). These engines are located next to the rooms. It was as though we were camped in the middle of an overnight parking lot for large trucks where the truck’s engines ran at fast idle all night long. Tough luck, eh? You bet! The staff at Cinco Tulum couldn't care less. While acknowledging the poor situation with the engines, we were told there was nothing they could or would do. In essence, too bad for us, go away. As I said earlier, the people located next door had the same issue and fared no better with management in making their complaints. In neither case, ours or our next door neighbor's, were we given any satisfaction or recompense. How did this happen? How is it that people can be taken in and abused so badly by Cinco Tulum? Two reasons: 1.) The hotel's utter misrepresentation of the actual conditions to be found on the property and 2.) a check-in procedure that takes advantage of arriving guests' likely fatigue from travel and interest in getting checked in and onto the beach as soon as practical. Cinco Tulum misrepresents itself almost entirely in its promotional materials. This is especially true of the Cinco Tulum’s Glamping area, where the hotel’s pictures and descriptions found on online booking apps – we used Booking.com, in this case – and on the hotel’s website, show an uncrowded, small compound of nicely appointed, comfortable tents located within a serene environment. One is provided with the sense that a calm, reasonably private stay is what is being offered. The actual conditions could not be farther from the truth. Our first day and night there (that’s all we could stand out of our four-night reservation; we left the next morning) was the absolute, highly unpleasant antithesis of the serene beach holiday promised in Cinco Tulum’s materials. And check in is fraught with danger. Beware the check-in process. Take this process carefully because the staff receiving you upon your arrival will whisk you through a contract agreement and then immediately take full payment for the period you reserved. All this is done right away, before any tour of the grounds is offered, you are shown the condition of your room. and have the opportunity to assess your surroundings. Believe me, DO NOT sign that contract or pay anything until you have had the opportunity to closely inspect your room and the grounds, including the beach. And in this inspection, do consider the impact on your sleep from the thrum of two, large engines operating all night, nearby your room. Because Cinco Tulum will not refund any portion of your payment once you’ve signed that contract and they’ve run your credit card. Ouch. So, head’s up.

Beware of restaurant staff! They will steal your belongings! I went here for dinner on 1/15/22. While at dinner, I had my phone and sunglasses placed on the table. Before the food came out, one of the servers came to our table to move the plates around to make room for the dishes. Now normally that's fine, but it was odd when this server moved my glasses and phone when they were already at the corner of the table near my right hand, so they WERE NOT in the way. I brushed it off, I left my phone in that spot, and I didn't look at my phone because I only had 6% and didn't want to use all my battery. After that, I don't remember seeing my phone. Another server had came back and took the plates and I don't remember seeing it or grabbing it after. After getting back to my hotel, I realized my phone wasn't in my bag. I used Find My iPhone on my iPad and the last location my phone picked up was Cinco Restaurant (below is the picture I screen shot from my iPad of its last location). I tired calling it and it went straight to voicemail. I was only there for 1 hour and 30 mins and I have a new phone so there is no way my phone died in that time. I went back to the restaurant and they denied the whole thing and claimed that I left it in the bathroom when I, in fact, never used the bathroom there. And to add, the food was not that good, not because of my phone being stolen, but because the Robalo genuinely had no good flavor. The pairing of bland fried fish with mashed sweet potato personally did not sit well in my stomach while eating it at the table. I felt off from the moment I got there so I should have trusted my hunch but overall very disappointed that the wait staff here are a bunch of thieves.

You want to stay at Tulum without all the party noices? This is the perfect place. It is just magical with a lots of love for the details. We stayed here for 6 nights and really liked it. The tents are very comfy and you have everything you need. We really loved to sleep outside with all the nature noices. And the best thing: a few tents have a hammock to relax during the day. Another great thing was the shower. It was outdoor, which we really enjoyed. You have a nice smell of coconut if you use the shampoo and the showergel #lovedit 🥥. Included in our stay was also the breakfast, which comes with some nice fruits, coffee/tea, juice, homemade yam and toast. A perfekt start into a sunny day ☀️. You can always order additional dishes if you want something else. The hotel also includes a beachclub. As an hotel guest you have towels included and you can use the beachclub everyday. You can do a reservation for a nice beach bed or beach pillow, which we booked almost everyday. Don' miss to order Chelada and Guacamole 🥑🍺. Hotel and beachclub are located in the National Park of Tulum, which is in the north from tulum beach. The Maya Ruins of Tulum are 20 minutes away from the hotel. Rent a bike and go there early in the morning so its not that packed. After 10 am it really gets busy. If you want to go to Tulum Town or Tulum Beach you can either go by bike or taxi. We did it by bike and it took us 30 minutes which was totally fine. If you need recommendations for dinner or activities just ask the stuff. So overall as you can read we really LOVED this place. It was just perfect and you have to stay there. Also a big thanks to the staff who took such good care of us. We will come back 💕🌴🌊☀️

My partner and I had the most incredible time at CINCO, the glamping hotel by the beach. Our 4-night stay was an unforgettable experience, and we simply didn't want to leave! We knew we were in for a treat from the moment we arrived.

The atmosphere at CINCO was incredibly relaxing, and we found ourselves perfectly content without the need to venture anywhere else. The beach was just steps away, making it quite convenient to dip our toes in the warm sand and take in the breathtaking views. The kitchen at CINCO served fantastic food, so we happily spent a lot of time enjoying delicious meals right on the premises.

It was a delightful surprise to discover that they reserved beach chairs exclusively for tent guests. Basking in the sun and relaxing right by the shore made our beach experience even more special.

As soon as we arrived, we were warmly greeted with a fruit-filled mixed drink that was an absolute delight! The friendly and attentive customer service at CINCO made us feel at home throughout our stay. It was evident that the entire team was on the same page and genuinely committed to ensuring our stay was extraordinary. A special shoutout to Joshua, an awesome dude who made our interactions even more enjoyable.

I'll admit I wasn't quite the glamping type of person before, but CINCO changed my perspective completely. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone simply looking to hang out, unwind, and soak up the sun on the beach. It's an ideal destination for those seeking relaxation and tranquility.

The seaweed situation, a concern in some beach areas, was wasn't a big issue during our stay. We were fortunate not to experience any bad seaweed days, which allowed us to fully enjoy the beautiful coastline. For those who love a mix of history and adventure, the nearby ruins are just a 15/20 minute walk away. Exploring these historic sites added an exciting element to our vacation.

Even when it stormed on our last day, it somehow added to the charm of our stay. There's something magical about experiencing beach storms, and it made our farewell even more memorable.

Overall, our time at CINCO exceeded our expectations in every way. If you're looking for a serene glamping experience with outstanding customer service, breathtaking beach views, and the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure, CINCO is the place to be. We can't wait to return and create more wonderful memories in this...

$60 MXN pesos per person to enter into the park which is the nature preserve where CINCO is located. (No plastic water bottles allowed, water must be in a glass or metal container) $500 MXN pesos per person minimum spend (this is a bargain and sooo worth it) , free parking, perfect bohemian vibes. We love this place. It'll always be our #1 spot in tulum. This is where my husband and I fell in love 5 years ago when it was a different business (Agosto), same concept. I'm so happy to find that CINCO is just as if not more magical. My husband and I are staying elsewhere but wanted to pay a visit to the place where it all began for us. CINCO in our opinion is the best beach club on the beach. The quiet, boutique feel makes it feel cozy and exclusive but without the trendy "tuluminati" vibe that you might find elsewhere. CINCO is playful and mature. The vibe is perfect. The drinks are hitting and the food is soooo delish. We had guacamole, shrimp tacos and a pepperoni pizza. Service is fast and attentive. The beach bed was spacious and comfortable and a small but important highlight were the tables next to the beach bed that doubled as cubbies for your personal belongings. OMG, as a beach goer I loved this so much because I could put away my flip flops and kindle without worrying about sand or losing them. A small but important touch. The beach itself is immaculate. They take care to make sure it's free of seaweed. And even if you venture off onto the site, there are so many lovely spaces to sit or swing in a hammock. It's perfect. My favorite part is it's accessibility. You drive right in and park, no hassle from a guard or hostess, just come on in! I love that bc it reminded us of the old tulum before the hype. Very welcoming and easy. We can't...
