My partner and I stayed for a week from 2nd October to 9th October and we would say that for a 4* hotel Tikida Beach lives up to its rating strongly. There are a few points I will note in this review that set it down slightly from a 5* so if it's absolute premium quality you are wanting, it is worth considering paying extra. However for what this hotel promises, it delivers hence my 5/5 rating.

We arrived just after midnight and check in took around 5 minutes per party - even at that time there was a good number of staff on reception to get the bus-load of guests checked in quickly.

We got to our room on the seafront and it was presented beautifully. There was even a cling-filmed cheese salad and a banana on the table waiting for us as we'd obviously missed the evening meal which was a nice touch.

Our room was very spacious, clean, and the shower is a huge walk-in which was ideal. All the facilities you require are available - hairdryer, hand/bath towels (replaced with new daily) 2 bottles of water and some cans of pop in the fridge (also replenished daily). We were at the far side of the hotel to the reception but the WiFi was still pretty good.

Two points to note: the air con is a little sketchy. Ours was pretty weak so on boiling hot nights would've been a touch uncomfortable. We had a couple move in next door from another room as theirs didn't work at all. Secondly, DO NOT put your mobile phone in/near the safe as the interference resets the code. A technician had to come open ours as it wasn't accepting the code on our 3rd night, but this was fixed within 30 minutes.

In the first morning there is a 30 minute briefing with the TUI reps - Lauren and Larche. This is well worth your time as they give you key information on booking excursions, as well as the fair prices for taxis and how to deal/ barter with market and street sellers to get good prices. Lauren is an absolute consummate professional and makes time for everyone with the utmost respect. Larche I would say is more laid back in his approach but equally good at his job-he changed around a double-booked excursion for us with no fuss at all, and was very courteous and helpful when our bank account would not let us pay, as we'd not used our card's abroad. He honoured the booking for us and allowed us to pay the next day, which gave us time to sort this. Ava, the entertainment rep was lovely also, and they make a fantastic team and are a credit to TUI.

The pool is absolutely brilliant - it is very large and has a shallow end tapering to a deep end, around 3ft up to 8ft so there's plenty of room for people keen on just hanging their feet in the pool or having a proper good swim. The pool bar is to the side right in the middle and is a lovely place to sit and chill in the shade with a drink. There's a second small pool that entertainment is played in (polo, aquafit etc) so people can do one or the other.

The bars in the hotel are really nice and have a touch of class to them, and the terrace bar facing the sunset over the ocean is stunning.

The drinks won't blow your mind but are pretty standard for an all inclusive.

There are two separate restaurants - one for lunch, the other for breakfast and tea. We always ate early but there was always tables free and they're promptly cleaned once others leave. The wine on offer is local but actually really nice - I would say they're the best bet for alcoholic drinks and the staff will top you up without asking (which can be dangerous haha!). My partner and I eat typically healthily, and the food was ideal for us. The salad bar is almost the same every day but there's that much to choose from, you can make up a different salad every time. The show cooking and main meals vary but are primarily local cuisine which was nice to try, and the show cooking tended to be different meat and fish every day. The deserts are a little bit underwhelming but it was so hot that the 5/6 flavours of ice cream covered us for the week which was pretty good....

Re: Serious misconduct by Hotel Riu Tikida Beach - All Inclusive Adults Only

This is our response to Riu Tikida Beach Hotel in Agadir

BAR WAS NOT SHUT AT 9PM! Please check the CCTC video on 14th August 2021 ground/ basement floor Hotel Riu Tikida Beach and you will see the hotel is NOT ! Informing you of the truth and are seriously aiming to mislead you. The hotel has lied to you regarding closing bars and not serving drinks at 9pm. DRINKS WERE BEING SAVED PAST 10.30PM.

The Hotel Riu Tikida Beach has broken COVID-19 restriction issued by the government of Morocco! They most definitely have served drinks until 10.30pm how did we get some drinks from the bar area along many guests because the bar was full of people maybe 100 or more and live music being played with a band. The guests still being served into 10.30pm or later. Therefore does this mean Hotel Riu Tikida Beach was operating illegally breaking the government rules and should be reported to the government immediately. Also does this mean booking.com also recommended and is continuously facilitating guests into a hotel who is operating illegally as they are breaking and breaching government rules and putting lives of many people in seriously danger. The video attached to this email was taken at 9.30pm and the serving of drinks was continued till late night. Mr Ibrahim the night manager at the Hotel Riu Tikida Beach did not move us to another bar as all other bars were closed. If Mr Ibrahim did ask us to go to another bar then again the Hotel Riu Tikida Beach has breached Covid 19 rules as the time was 10pm when we met Mr Ibrahim. Mr Ibrahim made absolutely no attempt to contact us as we waited exactly where he told us to at the hotel lounge on the ground floor. Mr Ibrahim told us to give him 5 minutes and he will speak to his staff member and come back down however he never came back. Therefore Mr Ibrahim is being very dishonest and this can be proven with evidence if you ask the hotel for CCTV footage of where we were told to be waiting for Mr Ibrahim in the hotel. We waited patiently for 20 minutes and when Mr Ibrahim NEVER came back we went to the reception desk to ask for him and we were rudely told he has already dealt with your issue and he has now gone home. Therefore the Hotel Riu Tikida Beach FAILED to resolve our issues. We have still not been refunded the payment we made to the hotel and have suffered financial hardship.

Drinks were served to everyone but when it came to us again exactly like dinner time they were being discriminatory and selective only providing drinks to non Asian customers! We were not rude we were asking for an explanation on why drinks were not served to us. The staff member Mr Tanvir shouted and pointed fingers rudely at us as you can see from the video shouting why didnt we order drinks together why are we ordering one by one. This is abslutely disgusting service. It is also discriminatory. Mr Ibrahim claimed he was the Hotel Night Manager and promised to deal with the issue and informed us he will return after 5 minutes instead of retuening to us he went home. This was very shocking to us and extra ordinary how a hotel manager can just leave the guests standing and just go home! after a complaint was made. This is the level of awful service this Hotel was providing.

This hotel was Not fit for purpose hotel! We could not stay somewhere we were being discrimniated for our colour for our religion. We could not stay where the air condition was not working at all we could not stay somehere where they have stoeln our clothes.

Also please see CCTV of checking out of our rooms on evening of 14th or day of 15th August 2021 and you will see staff may have taken two jackets and all them items within the pockets. Missing items as we were pushed out of the hotel with all belongings left on the street.

YES LUGGAGE WAS DUMPED OUTSIDE NEXT TO THE STREET FOR ANYONE TO...

My partner and I stayed here for Christmas 2024. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The service has been fantastic, with staff in all departments always with a smile on their face and more than happy to assist you with anything you need.

We had a problem with the first room we had. There was a really bad smell coming from the bathroom and it wasn't as clean as we would have liked. We politely asked to change rooms and there was absolutely no hesitation from the front desk team to move us. We inspected the room they suggested and it was much better so we moved there for the rest of our stay so thank you very much for being so flexible.

We only have 1 concern which is why this review is not 5 star. The bathrooms in general tend to smell a bit. We're not the first guests to mention this. The way the showers are designed there is a lot of excessive water that doesn't drain, meaning it sits there for days leading to a smell. We would recommend this excess water be removed daily or every 2 days to avoid this smell. The bathrooms also weren't always as clean as we would have liked. Lots of stains in the grouting and in the tiles, as well as multiple water marks on the floor, meaning these floors weren't always being cleaned. We did our best to keep the room and bathroom clean as well.

The TUI reps were also very helpful with booking excursions and being on hand to answer any queries you have too!

Now, the food in the hotel was really good, there was always lots of variety and it was to a good standard. Again the staff were very friendly and accommodating, even cracking jokes with us and other guests on occasion which made meal times very satisfying. The Christmas buffet was really good! We're British so it was a little different to what we're used to, however coming to a country that doesn't celebrate Christmas, we really appreciated the effort they put in to make it as close to a standard western Christmas meal as possible. Again the food was great and to a high standard in our opinion. You also got a little program of the next few days to see what's being served and what activities you can do in the hotel as well which was a really nice touch.

The facilities are great! We loved the pool, spa and gym areas immensely. There are 2 pools with plenty of sun loungers right by the pool so you could always find one in the sun. We had some lovely massages and hammam there and the staff again could not do more for you. Always with a smile on their face and happy to walk you through what a massage you want entails. We weren't overly enamoured with the evening entertainment, however we're not judging the hotel on this as it's just not our cup of tea and our opinion is subjective on this.

The gym was somewhat modern with a nice array of weights and equipment so you can do anything you like in there.

Beach acces was always good and it was nice to see the local kids playing football there too!

Finally we would like to point out that this hotel does a great job at being inclusive for everyone. There was a wide range of elderly, young and disabled people and it seemed that all subsets of people were enjoying themselves which is really great to see! Lots of wheelchair access available and seeing some staff assist people down stairs and the like was a great touch and nice to see, even as a mid twenties able bodied person like myself.

All in all, we would definitely come back and stay in the hotel again. It's the staff that really make this place. So friendly, warm and happy to serve you. You really get the sense that they couldn't do enough for you. Thank you to all of you for making our holiday incredible! ( Just keep the bathrooms in the rooms a bit cleaner and it's a 5 star...

This was a bit of a blind booking for us having never visited Morocco before. The all inclusive option was attractive. This was also our first school time holiday having both previously worked in education. We needed a good break and wanted to do little. Oh my word. What a fantastic place. This hotel ticked all the boxes-very clean environment, considerate and helpful staff, nice rooms, outstanding food offer, fun but unobtrusive entertainment, and, lovely restaurants. Here’s some stuff that might help: -The transfer from the airport was smooth, just don’t give your case to some random😂 -When we arrived it was late, windy, and there was an awful smell of fish in the air blowing from the nearby port. This proved to be a one off but was disconcerting on arrival 🤣 -Make sure you book the room you really want-we had a standard room. The view wasn’t great but to be fair we hardly needed the balcony😎 -The rooms are well stocked with bottles of water and soft drinks💦 -It can get chilly in the evening so take a hoodie/cardy -We realised quickly there was the unusual unwritten code around bagging sun loungers. All we really wanted to do was sit around a pool. To secure a spot (and I HATE having to do this) I went down and got a couple of spots at around 8am. Loads had already gone by then. I know there may be jokes about Germans and their towels, but everyone’s at it! 😂 Once you’ve got your spot, it’s yours and we enjoyed the time at the pool. There’s piped music which varies in quality so take your headphones/ear pods. Also useful if you want to zone out of moaning about the heat. 🧐 -There are two bars located at the pool. There’s also Lounger service! -The pool is cold. It beggars belief people moan about that. It’s lovely once you get used to it. -There’s some moaning in other reviews about the waiters treating you differently and more negatively if you’re English. We sensed none of that at all. A tip is to be polite and not treat them as lackeys. I found them to be gracious and humble and I suppose I was trying to be that also. 🙂 -The entertainment in the evening was designed for the dominant demographic which I’d say was over 50. Having said that, we’re just over 50 and there were moments I felt really young compared to other guests. To be fair, this really suited us as we wanted a chilled out holiday. If you’re after an early nineties Ibiza experience, you might need to get a Time Machine😂 -The Tui rep was helpful. We did just one ‘experience’ and it was FANTASTIC. It was the Atlas Mountains 4x4 Experience led by a very experienced, enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide Rachid (Richard). We loved it and it was a real highlight. I hope you’ve found this helpful. We’d go back tomorrow. Cheers!

Had a 10 night stay at Tikida Beach Hotel. All staff, from the Reception all the way to the Cleaners were friendly and very helpful - as with most places, gratuity can go a long way. Many of the staff would remember your order or requirements, which adds that personal touch. The food (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) was generally good if not quite repetitive - the 'Moroccan Night' had some interesting varieties. Usually, I found myself trying lots of different things but found I would keep returning to favourites. Rooms were very clean, tidy and a good size for a long break - most have a balcony where you could sit outside on. Pool area is nice to hang around if that's your thing. The beach is a stones throw from the hotel, which has a roped off area for hotel guests. The themed restaurants were a bit of a let down - nice enough but the buffet food was better. There were lots of cats around which was lovely and although you're not meant to stroke them, good luck trying not to! Most had collars and were Hotel cats. The on-site TUI reps were friendly and helpful and genuinely showed an interest in making your stay as enjoyable as possible. Each night has something going on in the Foyer area (from traditional belly dancing to quizzes and music nights - the in-house singer had a really good voice). If you don't like to be involved in audience participation, you can sit upstairs in the upper lobby and watch from above. There are lots of activities which happen throughout the day, however it can sometimes be a bit hit and miss if they happen, depending on weather and numbers. Fantastic value for money - would gladly stay there again.

A nice hotel. The staff are amazing and work hard to please. Free WiFi throughout the hotel, I have yet to hit a dead spot. 2 pools and towl service (Great people the towl guys, Friendly and funny). Food was great, I need to start a diet now as have eaten lots. The only down side is people using bluetooth speakers and others blatantly not sticking to dress codes. Come Tui, if you or your hotel puts rules out then please make sure they are obeyed and turn people away when breaking them. The only other negative I can think of is booking late checkout, we could not do this online e when booking the holiday and were politely told to book the day before leaving but then told that confirmation will be from 7pm and we can only book upto 4 hours. Of course if Tui had better flight times this may not be an issue, perhaps Tui could ensure late checkout is guaranteed given they must be aware certain guests will have an 8 hour wait until being collected for the airport, not exactly a fantastic way to end the holiday Tui!! Hence four stars only. The Atlas Mountain tour was a fabulous experience and Mr Richard the tour guide (Real name Rashid) is a master of his craft. Funny, informative accross many subjects and a pure pleasure to spend time with. Whatever this chap earns he deserves more as this was perhaps the most enjoyable tour I have taken to date! Check out my photos, he is the one in the blue trousers. All said and done, the hotel and staff are mostly great and very welcoming, for that they have my complete respect and gratitude.
