This hotel is well located.. it's in the center of Casablanca, really clean, but the the level of caring rooms is different between one double bedroom and other room contain 3 bed (for example), and I am using this example cuz I was there in a double bed room and it was well cleaning and pretty nice, but my other member of my family was in a room with 3 beds in that room was not really cool !! in my "pretty nice room" I don't know why maids switch on the air-conditioner ?!!!! yes it was summer but the room was cool, and they switch it with no reason ?!? I was wearing just a small short for sleeping, so because of turning that goddamn air-conditioner I catched cold for nothing !!!!!! in the first place I didn't know who did it !!! I looked for the remote control, I found nothing, then I tried to call the receptionist to get the remote-co, the phone didn't work !! then I decided to go there by my self, and I found maids I asked them for the number of reception (I said in my mind may be I am a fool who didn't notice the number of reception), they told me the number, then (because they know what they did !!!) they asked me what do I need the number for ? I said this air-co made the room really really cold for no reason I need a remote-co, then one maid gives me the f* remote-co !!!!! I switch it off, and for this moment I don't know if is that was a trick to wake me up cuz I am leaving that morning !!! (If I want I will ask for a wake up call or some)
so.. because of this stupid action I catched cold.
in the end I have to say, receptionists was kind.. really kind, may be maids are kind too (I don't know) but.. what happened to me was really bad, this was last sum merand I decided to write this comment in that moment, I forget about it , today I found "Hôtel Guynemer - Casablanca" in google and I want to share this, may be stuff will find it...
Read moreI stayed here one day on January 30, 2017. This was the first time in my life staying here. I tried to stay here a few days before but they were fully booked. The guy in the front lobby said they have newer rooms and older rooms. And he immediately booked me for a newer room with cost a little more. My room was $30 a night, a steal !!! || The newer rooms have a card that you tap on the door and makes the door open. Real futuristic which I like. The room I had, has a flat screen T.V. , large comfortable bed. nice cozy bathroom. A heater in the top of the ceiling. This hotel has airport pickup. And what I liked the most about this hotel is that they have a computer downstairs that guest can use for free.|| Most hotels in Morocco don't have hotel computer terminals. You have to find a cyber cafe for internet. The only hotel that had a slew of internet terminals for guests in Morocco I came across is the Barcelo hotel in FEZ. Which is like $ 70 dollars a night. This Hôtel Guynemer is a 7 minute walk from the tram station" PLACE MOHAMMAD V ".|| And this hotel is a half block from a pedestrian passageway where no cars can pass thru these streets. The passageway goes for like 6 blocks or more. There's a restaurant in the lobby. ||The only glitch with this hotel is that the WI-FI doesn't work upstairs. Only downstairs||. But I had that problem in every hotel in Morocco. If you stay in a hotel in Morocco that's above the first floor you can't get WI-FI...
Read moreComing in from the street, this hotel gives you the impression of an old world hotel in a ageing art deco building, similar to other buildings in Casablanca. The interior of the hotel maintains the same feeling, with its dated lobby, restaurant area, hallways and stairwells. It's only when you walk into the room that you move into the modern era. The interior appears to have had new tiling work done. The modern comforts, such as the air conditioning, the flatscreen TV and a firm comfortable bed, all make for a good comfortable stay. Even the bathroom has all the modern fixtures you would expect from a modern hotel. The room has its high ceilings, making the room feel much bigger than it is. If only the wifi worked well up in the room, as it was completely useless in my room, forcing me to come down to the lobby everytime I needed use the internet. ||||The hotel is located close to the action of Casablanca, where around the corner, street stalls fill the streets, lots of bars and restaurants and people all walking around enjoying the night time. You can even walk to the Casa Port train station or the CTM bus station if you need. All are an easy 5-10 min walk. ||||The hotel staff are friendly and cheerful. All in all, an ok price for what you get in the heart...
