An Australian friend, an art dealer, once owned this place as his private residence in Tangier. He renovated it, adding a swimming pool on the lower level. At that time, his gardens adjacent to the Kasbah walls seemed sparse, but it still was a very pleasant place to enjoy a lunch in the sunshine.
I am very pleased that the new owner has improved the house, and has transformed it into charming Maison d'Hôtes, with an eclectic mix of quality furniture and art works in the public rooms and its five private suites.
