Had a horrible stay here. Would NOT recommend!
I stayed in a 3 bedroom riad with 2 friends, for 4 days.
Here is a list of things my two friends and I had issues with over the 4 days we stayed a week ago:
[ ] No towels- the towels we were eventually given after requesting them seemed to be the hosts family/beach towels, had to ask for more than 1 towel each, again beach towels given. [ ] No handsoap in toilet number 1. Had to use washing up liquid from kitchen. [ ] No shower gel and shampoo in all 3 bathrooms. [ ] No running or HOT water in two bathrooms for 3 days. They had a plumber come out twice to fix yet we still had issues. [ ] Knob fell off bathroom 3’s shower after turning it on. [ ] No iron even though booking dot com description said it did. [ ] Dirty bedsheets in bedroom 2. All the extra blankets in the cupboards smelled and looked used and musty. Disgusting. [ ] No aircon remote until we requested it. [ ] No private pool like in listing- turns out its a public pool for residents as the riad is in a residential complex. [ ] Toilet doors dont close or lock [ ] No bidets [ ] No bins at all! [ ] Small cockroaches in the riad. [ ] the rooms were all garishly coloured and the walls super dirty. They had strange cartoon pictures framed above the beds. My friends and i took them down bc we were creeped out.
We werent able to get a refund through booking dot com unfortunately, but i hope this review helps discourage people from...
Read moreThis place is an amazing private oasis in the city of Marrakech. I read someone saying that it is far from the Medina which is puzzling given that the Medina is literally across the street. You enter the Medina through the gate across the street and start experiencing ancient Marrakech immediately as you walk through different neighborhoods, markets, and ancient historic sites until you get to Jemaa Lfna Plaza. That's what I call an immersive experience. The grounds of the residence are very well maintained and very secure as this is a gated community with security at the entrance. It also has some decent quality, reasonably priced restaurants, convenience stores, a beauty salon and pharmacy. The riad where we stayed was absolutely delightful. It was super clean and well appointed all within a traditional Moroccan house architecture and decor. Couldn't ask for better especially at the price point. Our hosts were...
Read moreIf you are thinking of booking this appt I urge you to think again. Zone 8 top floor appt with roof terrace is a absolute disgrace. The stench apon entering is an overpowering combination of cats pee and sewerage. Nothing worked and the place is so cramped it is difficult for 2 people to use. The roof terrace is unbelievably bad with stained beds surrounded with builders rubbish and a dining area overgrown with a very spikey plant. On waking my wife and I were horrified to find multiple insect bites and to top it all she got scolded in the shower (no thermostaticcontrol) and needed treatment. |We had booked for 7 nights but left as soon as we found other accommodation. |DO NOT...
