Be very careful of the psychotic worker at this store, the one who wears the white lab coat and sir max 90s with the yellow and pinkish soles.
I was taking a photo of my wife with the back drop of Ben Youssef Medersa, when the worker/owner at this shop stood up and started SCREAMING "don't get me or my shop in your photo" to which I proceed to tell and SHOW him that I didn't photograph any of his shopfront or property, although, one small basket and part ofnhis roof entered thephotos due to the tight angle, however his property was not the main focus of the photo. Then he starts getting more aggressive, yelling "have respect," to which I just proceeded on my way because the guy was accosting me for a fight

Read moreWe walked by this shop every day while we stayed in a nearby riad, and enjoyed our morning and evening greeting every day. On our last day we wanted to purchase a few things and were treated to quite a tour of the various spices and herbs. Quite memorable was the nigella seed that was twisted up in a little cloth, rubbed in the palm of the hand and put up to our nostrils to sniff. We bought a bunch of tea and spices, a teapot, and some indigo dye. As far as we could tell prices were good and we had a beautiful experience. Read moreOne of my highlights in Marrakesh! Right by the Ben Yousef Maderesah. The people who work there have great depth of knowledge and have studies traditional medicines for several years. Relaxed atmosphere and not pushy at all.
Shout out to ZouZou who introduced and explained to us all the medicines and cosmetics. He has such a great energy and is personable and clearly this is his passion!
