We stayed here in two phases. First 3 nights on the 5th floor, lake facing with balcony and the room and the view from the balcony was very good. Food is of medium quality; we had rice and fish for dinner; breakfast up to 10am buffet was better. Next we spent one night. We were put in a 4th floor room with balcony but visibility of the Swedagon Pagoda was blocked by foilages.In this room the AC was not functioning and the room became unbearably hot and sleeping was not possible at night. The technician visited twice with no improvement, finally admitting that the AC in this room did have a problem earlier and cannot be rectified now. They proposed to shift us to a different room. We had unpacked by then. Still we agreed if they moved us to a higher floor. This we were told was not possible as all rooms were occupied. Finally had to settle for a 3rd floor room, where they said the AC was working good. We hurriedly packed up. It was midnight. At the door of the 3rd floor room, we were kept waiting for 25 minutes while the bellboy went to fetch the electronic key. The room was not even fully ready except that the beds were made. We spent the night there. The next day began late for us as we had had our sleep disturbed. For breakfast we managed with leftovers though we turned up before 10am. This is the night of 31st Dec 2019. Our request for complimentary water bottles went unheeded from the morning and provided to us when we were checking out. No concession was given by the hotel for failing to provide the room as originally assured. Read moreI stayed at this hotel for 3 days from October 18th to 21st. Record only facts. Please refer to it. Due to poor internet connection in Myanmar, duplicate reservations were made. I requested confirmation while checking in at the reception, but it was not handed over or processed. The next day, I went to the reception again and spoke to the staff, and they responded that the hotel could not handle it. Even if I wanted to talk to the Agoda office, I was told that I couldn't because international call charges were charged. I tried to contact the hotel by calling the Agoda office with difficulty, but the hotel's marketing team did not answer the phone often. After a difficult call, Agoda said they would cancel the duplicate reservation, but the hotel also requested cancellation of the first reservation, which was reserved at a low price. The hotel does nothing to help guests. I've been to many hotels, but this was the first time I found one in such a mess.
