This has all, or at least most, of the earmarks of a grand hotel, but circumstances and events have made the situation not so great. First, the positives: the predominantly young staff are kind, polite, well-trained, and eager to serve. This is refreshing. The hotel has Grand rooms, beautifully appointed. In fact the entire hotel is beautifully decorated with expensive interior design, plush furniture , deeply padded carpeting and expensive fittings. My room is beautifully decorated with quality linens, a great mattress, and comfortable traditional- style furniture. The bathroom looks brand-new with high-end rain shower, good plumbing, and tile work and fittings which befit a five-star hotel. The water pressure was always strong and the temperature never varied. The price for the room is a great value at approximately 50 US dollars in May of 2023. I have slept well here during my three night stay. Unfortunately, the hotel does not have high occupancy and had a very empty feeling when I checked in. Partly because it's the low season and very hot. But also tourists are absent because of the political situation in Myanmar. A military coup has caused great instability and there is fighting raging throughout the country, although Rangoon itself seems free of violence. So there is only The Veranda bar restaurant open for drinks and dining and I have only seen one other hotel guest when I went there. The ATM was out of order when I went to use it. Other services the hotel used to offer are no longer available due to the lack of guests, and certain floors of the hotel have apparently been sealed closed. The district surrounding the hotel did not seem safe to walk at night and this was confirmed to me by hotel staff. The breakfast buffet is just so so, and not of a wide variety. However there are delicious jams, yoghurts, and The Omelette station provides nice tasty omelettes. Coffee is very good. I feel bad to point out the negatives, many of which are out of control of the hotel due to the circumstances of the country. You'll need to download grab onto your phone in order to use taxi service because there's no public transit readily available. Although I really like this hotel, during my next visit I'll probably stay in an area which is conducive to walking to explore cafes shopping and nightlife.

I find the design of the hotel to be very interesting. Shaped after a Burmese pagoda with a lot of interesting points and edges. It lights up pretty well when driving by. The main lobby is pretty atrocious and looks like something from the 80s. I also found the Standard room overhead shower pressure to be quite low and the handheld nozzle would not stay up. It made showering very slow. They make a big deal out of mentioning their LED lighting fixtures but it makes the rooms very dark. They're simply too small and you feel like you're in half illumination. They say that guests should call for extra lights but that's a bit silly. Just put the lamps in the rooms! The spa was filled with mosquitoes and bit my partner multiple times over her treatment. Their service recovery was to repeat it but no one wants to be massaged in a mosquito nest. She has multiple bites over her body and had to stop the treatment to try to shoo them away. Not the response of a luxury hotel and somewhere I wouldn't recommend to others looking for accommodations in Yangon.

I have to stay here almost a month for quarantine. Food is quiet good in taste but menus are too repetitive and served mostly chicken and fish all the time. People who have to stay under qurantine rules do not have access to gym, swimming pool and other facilities. I have to stay in my room all day. There is no housekeeping. Bedsheets, towels, toiletries are supplied once a week. Hotel staffs who served food boxes wear PPE. Every night at 9pm, there is sterilization along the hallway.

I stayed at Rose Garden Hotel for four nights during my 11 day trip visiting Myanmar in November 2019. The hotel staff is very courteous and full of energy to help. I had a very late arrival (~1 am due to flight schedule) and the bell service was at the door greeting and helping with my luggage upon my arrival.||||Most of my trip planning was done on the spot at the hotel after I arrived in Yangon. Special thanks to the gentleman, Nay Win, the golden key concierge who amazingly put together a personalized 6 day tour package for me. I had a great time on my tour visiting Bagan and Inle Lake. 10/10 will recommend Nay Win for any concierge related requests. ||||Breakfast at the hotel has a very wide variety of food selection tailored to different personal tastes. My favorites were the freshly prepared fish and the noodle soup of different local style for each day. ||||The hotel SPA massage was legit amazing and affordable (US standard). It was real nice to enjoy a relaxing foot massage within the hotel before getting ready for bed some nights after a long day of touring Yangon. Next to the SPA is the hotel gym that I got to use in the morning during my stay. It's a full size gym and comes with a separate yoga room for people like me who could use it for meditation.||||The hotel is very uniquely designed with a lot of local south east Asian culture and architecture elements. The hotel design with the great level of attention to details made my staying at the Rose Garden Hotel a...

Besides the incredible facilities, what really stands out to me about this hotel is the staff. They are beyond amazing and are so professional! Their hospitality and the continuous times that they go above and beyond for their hotel guests is a testament to their incredible work ethic. I booked the room with the free breakfast every morning and the staff (chefs, waiters, and waitresses) on the first floor are exceptionally great! The chef would even come to talk to you about the meal and thay was such a great touch! The staff in the hotel lobby (including the doormen) and also all of security at the front of the hotel are so friendly and welcoming. The duty manager (Nyein) is one of the best I have seen in the hotels I've been to worldwide because she really cares about the hotel guests and checks in with you and you're well-being. She helped with putting an ironing board and an iron for the room which was a really nice addition that I needed. When there was a slight misunderstanding (which was quickly and promptly rectified), she made sure to fix the issue with assorted fruits, juice and a complimentary meal that came with dessert, which she personally arranged and brought to the room. The women at the reception were amazingly friendly and welcoming everytime I went up and down to the room. The food is exceptional, the staff should be applauded and the swimming pool.....fantastic! Again I say......The...
