After nearly a decade away, I finally found myself back at this hotel—and what a welcome return it was. From the moment I stepped into the lobby until the moment I reluctantly rolled my suitcase out for the airport, the experience was nearly flawless (with just one teensy quibble—I’ll get to that in a bit). Check-in was smooth as silk, made even sweeter by the offering of fresh watermelon juice. A delightful touch! I did encounter a minor hiccup with my luggage—it took a while to reach my room, and I had to ring the concierge to investigate its whereabouts. But the porter was so genuinely apologetic, I almost wanted to apologize for bothering him. Guilt level: Catholic nun. Now, onto the room. It was wonderfully spacious, and while the decor still whispered “vintage business trip,” it was undeniably comfortable. In a world of modern hotels where rooms are the size of a generous walk-in closet and the lighting feels like a moody art installation, Parkroyal proudly remembers what hotels are supposed to be: roomy and restful. Would I have loved a USB charging port near the bed? Yes. Did I survive without it? Also yes. The one area that could use some serious love was the bathroom—more specifically, the shower bathtub combo. The tub had some visible mould on the floor, the shower head had a bizarre crush on the wall (refusing to face the actual human in the tub), and the toilet flush was positioned so low I wondered if it was designed by a committee of hobbits. Tall guests or elderly folks may need a bit of acrobatics to reach it. That said, the rest of the bathroom was perfectly functional. My room faced the swimming pool, which looked inviting, though I skipped it in favor of the gym—and what a gem it was. Not only did it feature the usual suspects (treadmills, dumbbells, etc.), but it also boasted a yoga area, TRX setup, rowing machine, and even a vertical climber. It felt more like a premium fitness club than a hotel gym. Breakfast deserves a standing ovation. A buffet that goes beyond the usual suspects, offering everything from local delights to Western staples, plus Japanese, Korean, Indian, and Chinese options. I may or may not have returned for seconds. And thirds. In short: would I come back? Absolutely. It’s a comforting mix of old-school hospitality with just enough modern touches. A charming classic that knows what really matters.

We have been to Spice brasserie to have dinner buffeet. The buffet is amazingly delicious; there are varieties of menu to be chosen including clams, prawns, fish, crab, oyster, octopus, squid, both big and small sizes and numerous salad menus which are appealing to eyes. There is a hotpot station where we can choose a mixture of favorite food to be cooked and besides it is a cooking station where we can get special dish menu like singapore chili crab or a bbq station. Last but not least, there are all sorts of dessert recipes; seasonal fruits, bread and butter, coffee and tea, numerous cakes which also taste very pleasant. Oh, by the way, there is a hidden menu also, which is an ice cream that everyone young or old wants to give it a try. I try each and every single food as I don't want to lose delightful appetite that the restaurant can offer. The staffs are also welcoming and helpful. Happy time @ this one and definitely worth the time & price. Must try!

We had the pleasure of staying at Parkroyal Yangon for our anniversary, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcomed and cherished. Special shout-out to the incredible reception team-Ybang, Nyeint, Yarzar, and Maythin. Their warmth and professionalism were above and beyond. They even surprised us with a delicious anniversary cake, which was such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture that made our celebration extra special. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a perfect blend of comfort and elegance.Pool area was nice but there's no music and breakfast was completely perfect with fresh fruits, salad And egg station were perfect for me. Their brew coffee made my whole day . However really appreciate to reception team, house keeping for taking care during staycation. We'r pretty sure that we’ll enjoy again
