We had a one night stay at the hotel and overall, super pleasant and relaxing. We had a room with a private pool entrance (basically a side door leading straight to the pool) and it was nice to lounge there and play some cards. It was pretty quiet (only one other couple) and we were able to order some drinks from reception to be delivered poolside. We were welcomed with complimentary champagne, water in the fridge and pool towels at reception. We also ate dinner at the hotel with great views of the city and a beautiful sunset. Customer service was top notch! The steak and fish was delicious and actually, the best part was probably the sorbet. So fresh! The breakfast the next morning was also one of the best breakfast buffets I've had in Namibia with fresh blueberries and honeydew, salmon/cured fish, and fresh bread. Everything was great until about 8:30am when the jack-hammering and the noise from next door (I think they were preparing the room next door). Anyway, I would still recommend but just to note that maybe to eat breakfast during this time so you're away...

An absolute dreamy stay!

The staff are so warm and welcoming. I was greeted with a glass of bubbles and a welcome choc treat (unfortunately it wasn’t gluten free/ I did email ahead to advice I’ve celiac)

They have amazing dining options. Had a delicious tiger prawn salad for lunch. At tea time I headed down for a G&T to watch the views.

I booked a massage and the masseuse comes to your room, it was divine. Quite the treat!

Dinner was exceptional. I dined solo but it’s a very special romantic place. The food was exceptional and they have an impressive wine list. Service was 5 stars. Breakfast was lovely too.

They apparently had a water pipe burst so there wasn’t water when I arrived. So I couldn’t flush the toilet etc but after dinner the water was working. It must have affected the pipes as I couldn’t get the shower to work that night. The next morning, it was working fine. There’s a bit of mould in the bathroom which I think they should look at.

I’d like to suggest they add bug room spray as there’s ALOT of mosquitos in the room.

Overall, a...

We booked a room for our 20th anniversary, what a disappointment it was. Firstly we were just dumped in the room, no WATER , glasses or tea/ coffee making facilities. ||Small TV not even digital, Toilet seat was loose so you had to move around to get it in the right position. Towels old & had dirty marks! Cheap pillows! For a Hotel that charge the money they do it's shocking. Room & furnishings tired, bathroom tired, shower in bath? In 2022? No view except into the neighbours garden and the little court yard. Room is dark and dingy too. ||||Resturant- way to expensive for their mediocre & limited menu! Smallest Sole I have ever seen& potatoes cold. ||Breakfast served in a little room? Also needs redecorating! Eggs overdone, bacon burned and cold.|| ||Staff were lovely but unfortunately that doesn't make up for our stay& dining experience, will definitely not recommend or go back! ||||It's definitely not worth the money...

One star for a view, second for the castle. My visit after a few years was a bit of disappointment. Yes, the castle is splendid, views stunning and rooms nice designed. But there is no mini bar nor even a fridge, also lack of coffee and tea facilities. In my room two of the lights didn't work. In the restaurant waiters are perfectly trained, but the serving is deadly slow. Our dinner took 2 hours, mostly of waiting; at the end of the day we cancelled the desserts. Food is above average, altough my kingklip was overcooked and dry (checked twice). I hope the management will take better care.

A lovely hotel, have stayed here a few times. The views are fantastic and the rooms are well appointed. The view is great for a drink, the wine selection is to be recommended even though a little pricey. Was sad that no breakfast or coffee was being served on my last visit. Had to go hunting for a cafe to get my early morning fix.
