BY FAR THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD IN PAME! NEVER AGAIN! How is this place getting 4+ stars? I would give 0 stars but that is not an option so 1 it is, but really it is a 0!!! My sister-in-law and I went 3 days in advance to check out the venue for a group of 35-40 guests.
We spoke with the manager, Babita, at the front desk and had agreed on the following: Reservation for outdoor pavilion and 4 shaded extra spaces below the pavilion. Snacks to be prepared and available upon arrival of our guests. We had preordered 4 non-veg naglo set and 1 veg naglo set and agreed upon ordering more snacks as per order. We preordered 30 plates of non-veg thalis so it would be served right after snacks. 4.Mentioned that drinks menu should be open so that guests can order them accordingly.
Unfortunately, what we had planned DAYS in advance went terribly wrong on the main day! When we arrived at the venue, the staff escorted us to a different seating arrangement than what we had requested for. We mentioned that we had requested for the pavilion. The staff mentioned that there was as a party until 2:00am the night before and the manager who had reserved the pavilion with us did not mention that the reservation was made for the pavilion. The pavilion was literally disgusting with cigarette and ash trays laying around on the table along with the tables and chairs in shambles. We waited 20-30 mins for the pavilion to be cleared while our guests ordered their beverages. The beverages that were ordered took FOREVER to arrive! The snacks that was preordered were never served upon our arrival, as promised. By the time the pavilion was cleaned and our guests were seated, it was already more or less 1 hour of us arriving at the resort and the snacks were still not served! Since the service was so slow, we decided to order our entrees while our guests were having their snacks. Once the snacks were completed, the lunch never rolled out as planned. Lunch literally took over an hour to be served! The dhido was served first and it was served COLD! Additionally, all the items on the plate (i.e., rice, daal, saag, tarkali, masu) were also served cold! Half of our guests were served lunch while the other half waited another 1 hour to be served! 5 of our guests left very upset because it was already 2:00pm and lunch was not served! As hosts, it was truly unfortunate and embarrassing! There were water bottles but no glasses for the water to be served in. Guests literally had to chug water from the bottle. We had to go to the bar to get tissue papers as there were none on the table itself!
We were informed by the staff that they were very low in staff due to the holidays, which we understood. However, we are honestly disappointed with the management for not communicating this information to us! Had the manager told us that they wouldn’t have enough staff to serve us, we would have never made reservations for that specific day! It is not physically possible for 2 servers to serve 38-40 people! We are also not aware of how many staff were in the kitchen, which I am sure was also very low because, as I mentioned before, the food was being served slow and cold! Once again, we are truly disappointed with the management team for not meeting our expectations! We had planned this event days in advance and none of our needs were met! I plan to go back to the venue to speak to management about this issue and request for some form of reimbursement because a huge amount of payment was made for services we didn’t receive! The only thing we truly appreciated were the 2 waiter boys who diligently did their best to serve us. Some of our guests were shouting at the boys but as hosts we kept reminding everyone that they are just staff members and that the managers are at fault not them! We truly would like to thank them for...
Read moreI recently visited a resort, and while the environment was pleasant, the overall experience was marred by exceptionally poor service and management. Below is a detailed review based on my stay:Upon arrival at noon, having booked two rooms, my group was informed that the rooms were still being cleaned and were asked to wait. Despite the sweltering heat, we waited for 2.5 hours, only to find that the rooms, once accessible, appeared barely cleaned. The bedsheets were visibly dirty, the pillows felt unclean, and the overall state of the rooms suggested minimal effort in housekeeping. This was a significant letdown, especially after such a long wait. The resort’s Wi-Fi was non-functional throughout the day, and when I inquired about it, the staff’s response was dismissive, offering vague answers like “I don’t know” or “It’s not working.” This lack of accountability extended to other services as well. Ordering food or drinks was a frustrating ordeal, with excessive delays in delivery. On one occasion, I brought an external drink to the resort, unaware of their policy, which was my oversight. However, the resort’s response was unreasonable. Instead of offering a solution, such as providing crockery for a nominal charge, they imposed a crockery fee nearly equivalent to the cost of the drink itself. This felt exploitative and lacked any customer-centric approach. The food quality was inconsistent. While the dinner was passable, the breakfast was utterly disappointing, lacking variety and taste. Amidst these issues, one staff member, a lady who appeared to be the primary point of contact, stood out for her unprofessional demeanor. Her curt and indifferent attitude made it seem as though customer satisfaction was irrelevant, and her overly formal tone felt like an attempt to gloss over the subpar service. It gave the impression that the resort prioritized revenue over guest experience. In conclusion, while the resort’s location and ambiance have potential, the management and staff need significant improvement to match. A welcoming environment requires attentive service, accountability, and genuine care for guests—none of which I experienced. I left deeply disappointed and would not consider returning. For a resort with such a promising setting, the lack of effort in service and hospitality is a missed...
Read moreI visited Alfanzoo Resort for the first time with my team, and it was truly a disappointing experience from start to finish. The service was extremely poor and disorganized. The pickup van was not only late but when it finally arrived, instead of taking us directly to the resort, they went to pick up another group wasting our time unnecessarily. This was highly unprofessional and frustrating.
The staff behavior, especially of the female host during billing time, was shockingly rude and disrespectful. While their attitude was okay upon arrival, the real problem started when it was time to clear the bill. There was a complete lack of courtesy and customer care. Even worse, they added items to the bill that we did not eat.
Lunch service was another disaster, it literally took over an hour to be served. No explanation or apology was given for this delay. When the food finally came, the taste and quality were far below expectations and definitely not worth the money we paid.
The entire billing process was unnecessarily complicated, filled with hidden and unfair charges. Overall, the lack of professionalism, rude staff behavior during checkout, poor food service, and careless handling of transportation made this one of the worst resort experiences I’ve ever had.
I strongly do not recommend Alfanzoo Resort to anyone. If you expect even basic customer service, honest billing, and proper hospitality, this is NOT the...
