BE AWARE BEFORE BOOKING WITH THIS HOTEL I take no pleasure in writing this review, but l must for the benefit of other tourist visiting Delft In September we traveled to the Netherlands. We had booked a budget room with a canal view for 20 nights with Hotel Bridges House. When checking in at the hotel we were told that the room was a basic room, no daily services, if clean towels were needed they can be picked up at the reception desk. Somehow the room went from budget to basic. The room was located away from the main building it was above a pizza restaurant. We learned later that this was called Hotel La Noire. When we entered the building we found a dirty smelly carpeted staircase leading to the room. We entered and found an unkempt room. The beds were good and clean. It had a small kitchenette, and fridge, kitchen equipment, utensils, coffee or electric water kettle not to be found. The fridge was not working. After two requests and three day's it was fixed with an electrical extension cord spread on the floor. The bathroom had a broken, loose floor tile covered with a towel, shelve in front of the mirror, gone. The bath tub was large, but we were unable to shower because there was no glass petition or shower curtain to keep water from running onto the floor. I spoke to the owner that I was not happy with the room. That I booked a budget not basic room with Hotel Bridges House not Hotel La Noire. I was told that they split of the two hotels after I booked. I asked why a kitchenette no equipment? His answer we don't leave anything in the room because people steal them, if I wanted some I could have ask for it. On my request they did clean the room three times during our 20 day stay. If this is considered a basic room, then at least leave cleaning material, garbage bags and recycle bin. THIS IS MY MAIN CONCERN. This hotel La Noire is a fire trap, carpet on the staircase leading to rooms, fuel for a fire, no emergency lighting, behind a plant in the hallway a very small fire extinguisher. For an escape I found a first alert escape ladder that would only work on windowsills of a minimum 15cm, maximum 33cm to hook onto. The windowsill in the room measured 96cm. As well the wall below must be solid it can not have windows such as in the restaurant below or an awning from the restaurant below to block the escape. Furthermore the restaurant during he evening hours extent the awning out, after closing scooters and electric bikes are stored inside all fuel for a fire.
Checking with the kamer van koop handel documents indicates the following, Owners of the hotels in question are are Asha Mangroelal and Rayn Baldew. Hotel Bridges house since May 2016 Hotel LaNoirie since Aug 2021. The owner will likely respond to this review. As you can see they lied that they separated the hotel after I booked (2024) when confronted, they will lie again.
Don't let the pictures fool you, book with Hotel Bridges House end up staying at Hotel La Noire. I would not recommend these two Hotels or stay...
