Fantastic place! Very tasty food, small, but interesting menu containing both Dutch classics and international dishes, interesting selection of cocktails, reasonable prices, very attentive and helpful staff, and the terrace on the boat - a great additional feature! I had a bad experience in the majority of other restaurants in Delft, when the staff was incredibly rude and almost encouraged you not to dine at their place, they would pretend they have no space even though half a restaurant was empty, but in De Delf they let me sit anywhere on the terrace, switched on the heating and offered blankets. Nice place. Offers a wide selection of vegetarian and meat products with good taste. All meals are served on a wooden board and are meant to be shared. The accoustics in the place are great, meaning you can easily have a conversation at a normal tone of voice even when the place is filled completely.

Uses an innovative concept where you get a plastic card where all your orders are stored upon. Once you are ready to leave, take the card to the counter and pay. This saves you the classic awkward situation where you are trying to get the attention of your host(es) in order to get the bill....

one of the best cafe in historic centrum Delft, enjoy the lunch and beer on a barage turned into restaurant anchored at oude delft kanals (old delft canals). this cafe is from same company/owner who owns famous stad koffyhuys.
