Hotel ideally situated in the heart of Delft only 10 min walk from the railway station and 3 min from market square. While we arrived early around 11am and were happy to just drop bags until room was available, the room was ready so we were able to freshen up then hit the streets to explore. Spacious room with all you need in a city break tea/coffee making, hairdryer, lotions etc. even a shoeshine machine in the hallway. Staff most friendly and always helpful. Buffet breakfast was more than adequate to set one up for the day with fresh fruit, ham, cheeses, various breads, pancakes , egg sausage etc. Probably the hotels greatest asset is its location. We were able to pop back easily anytime to drop purchases etc. We had 3 days & would definitely stay again if in Delft.

Not a luxury feel sadly. No glass in room for water. No bedside light. Out of date soap. Tiny room and tiny bed. Noisy at night. Velux windows out of reach - I needed to balance on a chair to open and close them. TV but remote control missing. Access pretty cramped (definitely unsuitable for anyone who struggles with stairs - and tall people will struggle too). This may have been because my room was in a completely different building from the hotel. My company booked this so perhaps this was made clear to us. I was a little disappointed though to be told to go to a different street. I liked the simple but good quality breakfast though. Fresh orange juice and fresh bread were lovely! Photos showing most of this uploaded separately!

The location is very good, right in the city center, the only down side is that if you are traveling by car you'll need to park the car about 5 min walk from the hotel because the in this area cars are allowed only If they have a special permit. It's a very cosy hotel, with just enough space in the room, which was very clean. Also the bathroom was very nice. If you are used to sleep in total silence be aware that near the hotel is a big church which has a big clock that every hour rings, no matter if it's day or night. The reception staff was really nice and helpful.

Not a good place to stay due to price – quality ratio. During our wedding night we wanted to stay in authentic Delft so we picked this place and selected the wedding package. We could check in early because the reception would close at 11PM. Upon arrival in the room at or past midnight we found half or the promised package was ruined because they forgot to plug in the fridge, presumably after vacuuming. The room had a very outdated jacuzzi with no manual, several nobs/buttons broken and it did not work properly (only one setting seemed to work).

The next morning could have ordered breakfast in the room but decided to go down as we wanted a little control over what we would eat. Coming down we found the breakfast buffy to be very simple to the point where we would probably be better off just walking to the local supermarket. As we were still in the happy mood of the day before we didn’t want to bother to much with it and left it. During checkout we were asked if we enjoyed our stay. When we mentioned that the fridge was not plugged in the staff reacted, briefly apologized and just as quickly handed us the bill without any initiative to compensate anything. They even charged us fully for the exit card of the parking garage.

To conclude: the place might look authentic/rustic but its over priced in every aspect, service is not forthcoming and breakfast is a laugh. Do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else or get the cheapest room they have and have breakfast...

Avoid at all costs! I booked a room at Hotel Johannes Vermeer, but I had a late check-in. And the late check-in is at their sister hotel. The following experience is the late check-in experience of this hotel.

Arrived at 12am. No one answered the bell, the calls, and the door knock for 20+ minutes. The front desk person finally showed up. He was so angry, that when he came out he forgot the door would be locked automatically, and we were both locked out. He became even angrier and blamed me as the reason we were both locked out. And he tried to hit me with his head and fist, and yelled at me "go back to China". (BTW, I am not from China). Then he tried to cancel my booking, so I told him I am going to film you. Then he grabbed my iPhone and tried to destroy it. At the time, I insisted him to call Police. I thought there were CCTV and the police can watch the recording of his behaviour. He did call the police. When police arrived, he accused me drunk and kicking the hotel door (both are not true). When I asked for CCTV footage, he said they don't have CCTVs. The end of the story is that he canceled my reservation, and I was left on the street without a room around 1 am. Police was professional and polite though. At least I felt safe after...
