Not at all friendly to internationals and their culture. Went there to have some lunch and asked what the salmon salad sandwich contains (in English). They said salmon salad, some salad leaves and cucumber. To this, I kindly asked if they could add some extra cheese that I would, of course, pay for. In my country itâs quite common to combine salmon with cheese (especially Brie). The lady at the counter, an elderly woman with big glasses, instantly said no. Afterwards, she started to make fun of me and my request in dutch with her coworkers and they all behaved like I was asking the most insane and outrageous thing. They were probably thinking that I donât understand any dutch.
This made me feel bullied for my culture. It was a very unprofessional and rude behaviour to have in front of a client and clearly they donât respect and arenât inclusive at all with internationals.
