During our 9 days travel in Netherlands, never did we have such kind of awful experience. We booked the stay 22 days in advance. Unfortunately, the apartment canceled our reservation two days before check-in without our consent nor any previous negotiation about this, only giving a reason of “overbooking”. No further explanation, no apology. However, one day before this cancellation, the hostess still sent me emails about detailed information including entry code, not mentioning anything about the so-called overbooking. She even said ‘We are looking forwards to welcome you as our guest!’ in the end of the email. An apartment (they only have this one, this is not a BnB or hotel) was overbooked in a low season, by coincidence in the exact same day with our’s, which happened just two days before our arrival. What a logical and convincing reason! This apartment possesses a extremely high score at booking. That’s also one of the reasons why we booked there. But it turned out to be a huge disappointment. All I want to say is that if any special situation happened, the hosts could have communicated with us in advance, or at least, presented a straight-out reason. As frequent travelers who have been to 35 countries (8 times to Europe), we met unexpected situations and do understand them. But it is on the condition of a honest, sincere communication and mutual respect. It was a shame that the hosts didn’t make...
Read moreVery bad experience. The owner threw us out of the apartment at 22 PM in the night because we brought our 2-year-old child with us (we forgot to register her in the booking). Never experienced such an unfriendly behaviour. She did not event want to give us back the money, fortunately Bookingcom refunded us with 50% on a voluntary basis as they felt bad for what happened to us
Cannot recommend to go there – for the same money you can get a nice Hotel room in Leiden and you will not spend your night...

We called owner after we arrived but no one pick up the phone and our money was not refunded either. They are very iresponsible and I wasted my money and was marked by owner as not shown, hence not able to comment on bookings. I guess most of the bad ratings were blocked by the owner...
