Mill Cottage — Hotel in Banks Peninsula Community

My partner and I stayed 2 nights in the Garden room. Everything has been tastefully done. The decoration is so stylish. Everything has been thought of. The shower is just amazing. We woke to the birds singing. I even recorded it, it was just so magical. The Mill Cottage has also been beautifully decorated. The garden is a joy to walk around in and the little stream running around the property, makes it truly one of the most beautiful gardens. I just loved all the native birds. From big fat wood pigeons, Tui and Bellbirds. We went for several walks near by and it's an easy walk into town. Judy and Alan are the most incredible hosts. They know all the best restaurants to go to and all the local activities. I felt our stay was truly a privilege and we both felt very lucky to have experienced such a magical place. A slice of History in Akaroa.||January 2023||||We fluked two nights at The Old Mill B&B when visiting Akaroa for which we were grateful! Our hosts were welcoming and informative in giving us a history of the Old Mill and its place in Akaroa's colourful past. ||The room was well appointed and comfortable with a continental breakfast provided. Mill Cottage in Akaroa has got to be the best place to stay by far. It is tended by a lovely couple who take care of you through your stay and aid you in any way needed. The cottage is located down a side street meaning it is quiet, serene and has a beautiful atmosphere. It is perfectly placed among the town easy to access the beach and one main road.
