Waffle Haus Akaroa — Restaurant in Banks Peninsula Community

Sloooooww! Waited 30 minutes for a pretty standard $12 milkshake that they called gourmet. Would have been nice to have been told there was a wait before I ordered (I would have walked away). Later once I complained they said it was busy but it really wasn't. Don't go here if you want any form of service - a snail could make a milkshake faster. Outdoor seating area is pretty poor too, tables and chairs just been placed at the back of the shop in a spot next to the lacklustre garden shop. These guys are trying to do too many things at once - better they focus on one thing...

Went here today with my husband and best friend. I’m not normally a sweet tooth but for some reason just had to have the ‘Death by Chocolate’ waffle with an extra scoop of hokey pokey! Mmmmmm mm mm mmmmm!!!! So so good - I shared it with my friend but to be fair I could have eaten it all myself! My husbands banana ice cream...

One of the best to have some sweet in Akaroa. The waffle was so good that we did manage to finish it sooner than the time they took to prepare. Couldn't have expected any better than this.
