Paraparaumu Motel — Hotel in North Island

Was once on the main road,but with new expressway now in full swing traffic noise has all but vanished...Still got the odd diesel train though.||Owner is in process of total upgrade...check out unit #3.||It's really quiet,5min walk to train(1hr to wgtn) 10min walk to Coastlands Mall(countdown supermarket)...and we took 1hr to drive to kelburn park off salamanca road (2hr park & cablecar)Avalon via SH 58(left at Mana) is even quicker.||Yes some units are still in the 80's but they are clean & comfy and at $99 good value.||The new units will cost a wee bit more but are still value for money..||Family units are available too.||Owners a...

Arriving at 11.30pm, road weary, and without expectations, (having booked whatever place had a vacancy) I wasn’t expecting much more than a basic place to sleep. Such a pleasure to open the door to this fresh, spotless, spacious unit! Crisp clean bed linen, modern layout and fittings, curtains that close all the way, decent pillows, every detail 10/10. Cheap accommodation outside of the city, you get what you paid for bargain hunters. I thought it was the best out of the few options in the area. I didn't realize how outdated the rooms were. I'm not sure because it's older than I am, but I'm guessing most of the appliances were from the 70s at least but wouldn't be surprised if it was older. The bed and couch were clean and new looking though, but you could smell the antiquity...
