Wow - what a difference a year makes. Visited today 29-5-23. Had my favourite Papperdele Pork Ragu. There couldn't have been more than a spoonful of Pork in the whole meal. What a disappointment. When i mentioned it to two staff i was told they would speak to the chef. Had to ask a number of times what the chef's response was. Seems its just how they make it now but they still call it a pork ragu. It felt more like a vegetarian ragu to me re there being little to no meat in it. Staff really couldn't care less it seemed. One place to strike off my list of nice places to eat. To show I only speak the truth see my reviews from last year and a real wow meal the year before. I have loved eating here with friends who live up the coast. Not sure if its new Chef and staff or I was given the dregs of the last portion of So called Pork Ragu and no one wanted to admit it.
Visited today 2-4 22. Had Slow Roasted Pork Papperdele Ragu. The best Italian pasta meal i have ever had. What a winner.
Last year 2021. Had T bone steak cooked to perfection medium rare on a bed of spinach. Side dish of some roast potatoes made my meal complete and tasty. My wifes healthy choice meal was also delicious she tells me. So there is something for everyone. Not the cheapest place I have ever eaten at but you have to pay for quality ingredients and great service. We will visit again with friends very...
Read moreWe ordered starters, 'toppings on a Sour Dough Bread'. As we waited for our meal, we noticed one of the staff walking through the supermarket carpark back to the restaurant, tossing around a loaf of what looked like 'sour dough bread'. We received our starters, and were pretty disappointed, as the sough dough bread was indeed the supermarket grade. I was Surprised that fresh sour dough was not made, as I thought the pizza & bread oven in the kitchen made the fresh small breads. Very disappointed of watching the bread tumbling in from the supermarket across the way, and the pretty bland toppings that went on top. Spaghetti dish was below average. No ambience at the restaurant, no back ground music, view to the back of buildings and the supermarket carpark wraps around the building. Not recommended for a...
Read moreWow..., Truely the only word that my mind can conjur. I went there with my family of three about a week and a half ago, tear wateringly beautiful experince. Our family just went through a tradgic loss and when i tell you the first bite of the roma pizza brought potent amounts of joy into my life, that would be an understatement. Kahu was the name of the waiter i belive if my memory serves me correctly; such a great man, friendly smile and a charming aura. I wish i got to give him and firm handshake and a generous tip. If i had any words to the people in charge of this wondrous restraunt all i can say is to give this man a raise! hahaha. great kid.
