Mariner Suites — Hotel in South Island

We had a fantastic stay at Mariner Suites that couldn't be faulted. The suite we stayed in was luxurious, with a very comfortable bed, wonderful shower, great heating, big tv with many channels and fast wi-fi. The location is right in the heart of heritage Oamaru so you can walk to everything. If you are there on a Sunday there is a farmers market nearby. Also very close to the penguins and some great eateries. Debbie and Ross are wonderful hosts, as locals they are a fountain of knowledge of the surrounding area. They gave us some excellent suggestions for our onward journey. We can't wait...

Absolutely fabulous, I arrived rather late in the evening and my room was made up for my arrival, nice and comfortable and warm.

The rooms are so lush, modern and clean. I spent 3 nights here and I will be staying at Mariner Suites if I come back to Oamaru.

The bathroom is clean and tidy, the shower is open plan and tiled with good pressure. Really loved the little touches and body wash, delicious!!

Location is perfect and walking distance to town so you can enjoy a few wines or a nice walk down to the penguins.

Staying at Mariner Suites is always a treat and the comfy well designed and stylish rooms make it feel like the perfect home away from home. The owners Ross and Debbie have that friendly kiwi vibe and really make you feel at home and are accommodating of your every need. The location is excellent near the historic area and the penguin colony which is always fun. It's a short walk into town but a quiet place to stay.
