Very disappointed with my stay. I do not believe this hotel should be ranked 4 stars at all. I have tried to contact this hotel multiple times about my experience but they have chosen to ignore me instead. Great customer service.
I was quite underwhelmed with the room, I expected more. There were no slippers or a robe, which I guess might be considered a luxury to some. There was no fridge, safety deposit box or anything. I think the highlight of the room was the bathroom. Although the water in the shower didn’t get as hot as I’d like, it was lukewarm for the most part. Other than that I just looked like a basic Travelodge. The beds were very annoying, I did ask to change my room but they apparently had nothing else available. The duvet was a single duvet, not very warm and not very big either.
The breakfast buffet was nothing special… It was quite bland and limited.
The cleaners were lovely, very friendly and helpful.
The receptionists were friendly for the most part. One of them in particular, who works in the evening has quite a bad attitude. I came down to ask why my room has been so cold. I developed a cold the first night because of this. When I reached the lobby, I noticed a bit of commotion. A customer was asking for blankets, the receptionist responded quite rudely and said there was no blankets to give and that there was no heating in the hotel. He refused to give them anything to help keep them warm during their stay. I asked when the heating would be fixed and he gave me attitude also which I politely ignored. He said he had called someone to fix it and he doesn’t know when it will be fixed. You see now, how the robe would’ve been helpful?
I believe on the day before I left I spotted a rat running in the lobby towards the bar. I was completely embarrassed because it happened to be at a time I was getting a guy I am dating from the lobby. I’m just happy he didn’t see it.
Ultimately, I’d never...
Read moreOur experience at this hotel was disappointing from the moment we arrived. The receptionist didn’t greet us or offer any welcoming attitude and seemed completely uninterested in helping us check in. There were no instructions provided about breakfast or basic directions around the hotel, which is something we would expect from a 4-star hotel. The only information given was to grab a note from a cup for breakfast—no further explanation.
On top of that, we had issues connecting Chromecast to the TV and tried calling reception several times for assistance, but no one picked up. Since there was no phone in the room, we had to use our own, which incurred additional costs. We did not receive any help in this matter, we were only told that no one else had this issue and that it was not his job to help us.
The overall service was not good, and we didn’t feel comfortable asking for more help after the receptionist’s rude and dismissive attitude.
Additionally, there was only one pillow on the bed, and the bedside lamp couldn’t be switched off. The lack of care, attention, and basic hospitality was unacceptable for a hotel of this rating. We felt like we wasted our money, and this stay was far below the standards we expected. We won’t be returning and cannot recommend this hotel. Other lower-rated hotels have provided much better service.
The only good thing about this hotel was the breakfast, which was excellent! But considering the price and the rating for this hotel it is not...
Read moreWe stayed at Quality Hotel with our 2 kids, and booked a double room. It was frankly PHENOMENAL. The lobby was SO CUTE with shuffleboard for the kids, and both kids had a welcome package waiting for them when we arrived. They felt so special! The lobby is spacious and really visually impressive--which was fun for the kids to explore. As a mom, I loved the charging and umbrella station out front.
I was SHOCKED at the quality of the dinner at the restaurant--with anise-encrusted salmon and caviar, and a HUGE steak that was cooked to perfection!! I felt like we had all the comforts of a very family-friendly location (see exhibit a: welcome packets and shuffle board) but with special touches that made adults feel they could be adults (see exhibit b: steak and caviar).
The breakfast surpassed what is standard at Norwegian hotels (and that standard is quite high!), and included smoothie shots and "vitamin shots" which everyone in our family enjoyed. The staff was super helpful to my 7-year old when she asked for more nutella to be put out one morning (and I could imagine this might not be the most exciting customer need to deal with for adults!).
The double room had cute touches, as well--like all black accents in one side and all white in the other. It was quiet, clean, and in the vicinity of numerous restaurants (not that we needed to eat elsewhere, as the hotel restaurant was so good)
Staying here felt just like staying at our own house--but with fancier beds, and...
