Stayed five nights at this hotel. It is centrally located so you can get water taxis or find something to eat. It is however, located next to a discotek and other bars that play loud music until 2-3am every night. We knew when we opened the door to our room and they had cheap earplugs in a box, that we were in for some loud nights. Be careful when booking on the hotel website. They book in USD. We booked a zapatilla tour through the hotel and it was good. Worth the money. Don’t be fooled when the ‘guide’ tells you lunch is included. You order and then when you go back and eat your food, they tell you it’s not included. Take a bagged lunch. We also booked a bioluminescence tour through the hotel. They told us pick up was on the hotel dock. That is where you’ll be dropped back off at the end. When we arrived back, the only door to the hotel, was locked. They locked us and another family with a child out of the hotel at 11pm. My spouse had to jump across multiple boats in the dead of night, to make it to the dock that lead to the street. He made it to the hotel, only to find no one at the desk and no one to let us in. It took us some time before someone who worked there, let us in. Completely unacceptable and so unsafe!!!! I would not stay at this hotel again. Also, the breakfast that is included in your stay is ok at best, no free coffee refills. We found ourselves ordering off the main menu to supplement the mediocre other menu. The staff were very nice and tried to be as helpful as they could, especially Lauren at...
Read moreWe had a very good time in Bocas Paradise. It is located in Bocas Town, very close to many restaurants, pubs, supermarkets…Everything you need. Additionally, they also organize trips and they pick you up directly at the hotel. We went to Cayo Zapatilla with them, and we were very happy with the experience.
The room was clean and fully renovated. The bed was very comfortable, there was AC, and hot shower. The views from our room were not so nice as we faced the next building, but we could see a bit of the town and the sea. I’m sure they have other rooms with better views. It was also a little noisy due to nearby bars and boats, but we used earplugs to sleep (they even provided them in the room). Next to the hotel there was a tour company, which is also nice if you want to organize trips and taxi boats with them, and although they were nice people, they were a bit annoying as every time we went out of the hotel, they came to offer us something.
The service in the hotel was very nice and helpful. They indicated us how to get to places and gave us some tips on what to do.
Overall, if you’re looking for a relaxing and quiet place, probably other places outside the town would be a better option. But if you would like to discover the different restaurants/cafés and be surrounded by people (local and tourists), this hotel is a...
Read moreOur stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. At night there was constant noise — both from outside (traffic, people shouting) and inside (doors slamming, guests being loud in the hallways). It was impossible to get a proper night’s sleep. On top of that, the shower was practically unusable. There was almost no water pressure, and the temperature couldn’t be adjusted — it was either boiling hot or freezing cold. After a long day, this was the last thing we wanted to deal with. During our stay, we repeatedly contacted the hotel staff regarding the malfunction in our room. Only after several requests was a maintenance worker sent to our room, who spent an entire morning there without resolving the issue. Unfortunately, our experience was very uncomfortable, and we would not recommend this...
