Bocas Reef Hotel — Hotel in Bocas del Toro

I attempt to note some positive attributes of any review but the only one I can come up with is that it was available - and it was obvious why. The WiFi didn't work in our room (32) the entire stay, the toilet seat looked like it had been chewed on all over by a large dog, and the pillows felt like some layer several loops of toilet paper inside a pillow case. ||||The front desk staff could care less when I asked them to troubleshoot the WiFi with me because it was important for my work. I asked if it was possible to reset the router and she simply opened the door to a small closet behind her - where the router and some other surveillance-related equipment was - and acted if I should have be witnessing a NASA mission control room. I turns out that she was trying to tell me through a fun game of charades that she didn't have a clue what was going on in there, and she certainly wasn't going to let me go inside and give it a shot.||||We booked during Semana Santa so almost everywhere else in town was completely booked. Not worth $65 but we were left with little choice. The sheets and towels seemed clean enough at least, but my gf and I were glad to leave after one night. No nos gustó la atención del personal del Hotel. Parece que te estén haciendo un favor al recibirte como clientes. La habitación justita, con colchones muy viejos y sucios. El baño muy pequeño aunque con lo necesario. La cocina compartida no nos gustó nada ya que los utensilios, paellas, cazuelas son viejos, magullados y sucios, al igual que los platos, que los tienen guardados en estantería como limpios, pero con restos de comidas. La señal wifi muy precaria ya que no tenia apenas velocidad, supongo por que las trabajadoras estaban viendo series a través de sus celulares, cosa que no deja datos para los usuarios del hotel. No dispone de zona para toallas húmedas de la playa o la ducha y las colgamos en la terraza, de forma que no fuese visible desde el exterior, y nos llamaron la atención diciendo que estaba prohibido, eramos los únicos clientes y dijeron que molestaba a los demás. El desayuno incluido, no está mal, quitando que se les terminaron algunas cosas el primer dia y al dia siguiente al pedirlas nos dijeron que no tenian, que llegarían durante el dia, pero al darme la vuelta, hablaron entre las dos chicas y por arte de magia apareció un tarro de Nutella que tenían escondido, al igual que la tostadora, que cierran bajo llave para que no puedas usarla. Por las noches, al estar en la calle principal de Isla Colón, hay mucho ruido de camiones.

No recomiendo este alojamiento.

Consulten otros establecimientos antes de reservar este hotel, que por lo que cuesta, la atención podría ser mejor, la limpieza de la cocina compartida decente y los colchones más modernos y sin la suciedad que tienen.
