Stayed there for a few days and have mixed feelings about that. For the low price of the room you get what you need. Shuttle at the airport was waiting for us about 1 and half hour, because we had delay, breakfast were fine, usually eggs or sausage with bread or fried banana. Our room and bathroom was small but clean, it was also very simple to find out how to work with AC. Hotel provides everyday free shuttle to/from Albrook Mall at 10am/6pm. It is also very close to metro station Loteria, so it's not difficult to get there from various parts of the city.||Negatives. Hotel staff is mostly Spanish speaking, there was only one lady speaking English and only this lady was kind to us. When we asked about long term accommodation or taxis in panama city different receptionists, typical answer was "no", "i dont know", "it's not possible" or "it doesn't matter" without any willing to help us. Hotel is situated in part of the city called Caledonia, which is not one of the safest - it is not recommended to go out from the hotel after dark (about 8pm). This part of the city is not touristic, mostly local people lives in that area. Street is very noisy and furniture really old.||||To sum up, there is no better hotel in Caledonia for that price, but next time I would consider to stay at different part of the city. Because we changed our plans and left the hotel 1 day before our planned checkout, we got $40 discount for our next stay or for food in the restaurant from the English speaking...
Read moreHad to quickly get to Panama City, on a budget this time. Locals recommended this hotel as very good value. They are RIGHT.||The shuttle from the airport and to the airport is free if you stay more than 3 days, and when you get to the hotel the ugly building and the small reception first bad impression is quickly replaced by a smile due to the very nice welcome and the very low price they practice.||The room we had was occupied by a large bed, stuck on a concrete platform, and had a mini shower room. AC was functioning quite well and was silent, but was installed with a big gap under it that was open to the outside - normal quality install for the country !||Breakfast was a plate of hot something, and a buffet with juices and a few fruits as well as coffee. Acceptable.||The hotel "restaurant" is cheap, and the staff is - as everybody at the hotel - very friendly and helpful. Many do speak English.||Everyday they have a free shuttle to the Albrook shopping center. THey also provide bus to visit the canal etc... quite nice. ||The neighborhood is the hospital district, but you can walk easily to the Cinta Costera.||If you need a basic, clean room, and are on a budget, this is a...
