Hotel Kuelap — Hotel in Chachapoyas

This very basic hotel has a patio large enough for several vehicles to park on (it would even accommodate a camper van up to 3m height). The patio itself is nice, and there are several flowerbeds. I had read on an app that the price for one night--if staying in one's vehicle--was 15 Soles, but the manager wanted me to pay 20 Soles, which is their current (January 2016) rate for a room with a shared bathroom. I took a look at one of those (#215) and to me it seemed more like a prison cell. The second-floor bathroom hasn't been renovated in decades, and there is no toilet seat. The first-floor shower is slightly better but did not get cleaned in two days. They also have rooms with en-suite bathrooms, which are apparently a bit nicer (and pricier). There is free WiFi throughout, but the speed is glacial. ||||I cannot recommend this hotel unless you are looking for a place to park safely and sleep in your car. With this being said, if someone has an interest in thoroughly renovating it... there's serious potential: the location is perfect, and the grounds could be turned into a quaint...

The location is wonderful near the main square. The place is impeccably clean (I wish they didn’t change my towel everyday). BUT at 120soles per night for a triple this place is overpriced for what you get. The shower is luke warm and when we asked for hot water they simply came and felt the water and said it was fine. The photos suggested there was more of a garden courtyard but actually it is just a car park. The breakfast is ok with a choice of continental, americano or local but the coffee is watery and they only give you a single bit of bread and barely enough...

Este hotel tiene muchas falencias, desde su antigüedad hasta el mantenimiento del mismo, luminarias, pintura de los pasadizos, no tiene los servicios de cualquier hotel, restaurante, ventas de insumos.|La habitación que me toco tenia un baño muy chico sin ventilación la chapa de la puerta malograda, totalmente incomodo, cuando pedí si me podían cambiar de habitación me dijeron que no había.|Los empleados del counter muchas veces brillaban por su ausencia, me cobraron adicional por pago con tarjeta.|las fotos que publican no concuerdan realmente con lo que es el hotel, se debería verificar la veracidad de la mismas al igual que los comentarios, que no me parece que estuvieran describiendo a este hotel. |Por lo que cobran hay mucho mejores hoteles.|La única ventaja que le puedo encontrar es que esta a media cuadra de la plaza de armas y esto siendo una cosa positiva lo desmerece puesto que hay un local de juegos al lado donde hacen bastante bulla hasta...
