The place sounds better in the guidebook than it was in reality. The breakfasts are on the pricey side 13 soles+, and the coffee, which I was specifically anticipating, tasted like instant and was not fresh made. Their Cecina was very flaky and dried out compared with other versions that we had, and the bacon that came with my meal was not bacon by a Western definition of bacon (rather ham like actually). It's a nice setting to have a meal, but there are cheaper and much better breakfasts...
Read moreI was expecting pretty good things from this place but I was ultimately let down.
We tried coming here for breakfast but we found it was a little expensive compared to a lot of other places, so we gave it a miss and came back for dinner instead.
We chose burgers, which was a roller-coaster of emotions.
The dinner itself wasn't awful, but it wasn't great either.. It was just a box standard burger with not much taste.
Bit of a shame really, but at least dinner was cheaper...
Read moreVery homely café. Not the cheapest place by peruvian standards but certainly by european standards. They serve a ample variety of coffee. Their lunch/breakfast menu is quite large and there are also fresh cakes every day. The freshly pressed juices where a big plus point because they don't add any extra sugar to it, unlike the rest of the places in Peru seem to do. Friendly staff and fast with orders. Will certainly come again...
