MONEY WAS STOLEN 100 usd bill was stolen from a LOCKED PRIVATE room while I was having breakfast. Please don’t stay here. Do yourselves (and me) a favor. Even if 10 tourists wouldn’t stay here it will cost them more than my stolen money. We, travelers, are in the same boat so we should bring our money to the honest businesses. Check my reviews I’m a real and decent person.
We stayed twice in this hostel before and after Huayhuash circuit. When we stayed for a second time I left my belt bag (which was always with me) for literally 20 min in my room because I was in rush.
When I came back from breakfast I realized I made a mistake leaving it in my room and immediately checked money and 100 out of my last 210 was taken. Who even takes 1 bill out of 2 last?! Before the incident staff walked us to a breakfast room asking if we were leaving today and where we were going. After this walk and questions about us leaving today money was stolen. There are at least 3 adult staff in the hostel. Cameras don’t record video, staff played innocent.
Hostel itself is located in local market area - dirty and super busy quite a walk from cafes and the main square. We didn’t have cold water on the third floor in the private room when we checked in (after 8 days in...
Read moreVery nice and cheap hostel. Close to the city center, with a couple of supermarkets nearby. The streets nearby are filled with stalls and markets as well. The rooms are big and spacious with comfortable beds, the showers have plenty of hot water. There is a very nice courtyard with lots of nice trees and even a dog with puppies! The kitchen is okay, albeit a bit dark at times, with plenty of space in the fridges. There is free coffee and tea all day. Cold beer can be bought. The included breakfast is nice enough. The owner is super friendly and helped us figure out the collectivos/combis to get to the different hikes (wilcacocha and santa cruz). They can do your laundry as well for 7 soles per kg. Disclaimer: we went during low season so it was very quiet. Our stay was...
Read moreWe would definitely come back here!
We've been here before & after the Huayhuash trek. The staff is always willing to help you with any questions you may have about the hikes & treks to do around Huaraz.
Laundry service (possible to air dry your clothes) 7/S Kitchen at your disposal Beds were comfortable & there were additional blankets Apart from the dogs that are barking through the whole city, we slept very well and quiet here The inner terrace & garden is very nice & their little dog & chicken super cute Bag storage & common rooms to hang around during the not hiking days
The breakfast could be a little more developed. I don't like jam and it is the only thing you are getting with your bread. An alternative...
