Doing the 4 day/3 night Santa Cruz trek with Yunmer and his team was one of the best camping/hiking experiences ever. - Camp sites were set up and taken down by the team including tents. - Chef Juan made hearty meals for breakfast lunch and dinner while accommodating for dietary restrictions including: beef pot roast, chicken and quinoa, curry chicken. - Yunmer was both professional and super funny. Happy to teach spanish but also share facts about the surrounding mountains and his personal history in the region. - Hot tea/coffee served every morning (and for meals), along with plenty of snacks including fruits, nuts and candies. Highly recommend. Bring your best acclimatized self and Huaraz Treks and Climbz will take care of everything else!

We have just returned from a 9 day trek of the Huayhuash Circuit and I cannot speak highly enough of our experience of using Huaraz Treks and Climbs. From first contact with Rodolfo we found him to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Our Guide, Yumer; Cook, Juan; and Arrieros, Oliverio and Ruber were the A- Team who looked after us so well. Our tent was spacious, thermarests big and comfy and the whole experience was one of the most memorable trips we've ever taken. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this company if you are looking for a highly personalised, professional service. We were just two people on the trek but I'm sure it would be just as much fun in a group.

We had the most amazing experience with Huaraz treks, right from the start the communication was excellent and everything was sorted for us smoothly. Pre trek Rodolfo came and briefed us at our accommodation and made sure we had everything we needed and Eric was an amazing guide, so knowledgeable about the area and always checking on everyone to ensure we were feeling good and enjoying the pace. Couldn’t have asked for more. The food was incredible, was hard to believe it was being carried through the mountains with us. Perfecto 💚

The trek with this company was supposed to be our top experience on our honeymoon and we didn’t do it. We started to plan this trek many many months ago via email with Rodolfo. We met the guy, he’s very friendly and knowledgeable and the reviews are also super good, that’s why now we are super upset to have to cancel the trek because of his miss communications. First, just the day before he asked us 1000$ in CASH?!?!?! NEVER mentioned that the payment must be done in cash before and with the situation in Peru now it is impossible to get so much money, even for the locals, you guess for tourists. Second, but that it is not even the main reason why we are upset, we checked the prices around and with the same services, other companies were asking less than half of the price for two people. At the end we were too late to re organised the trek and we are now forced to change plans and not do the 3days...

I thoroughly enjoyed the experience with Rudoplho and his team for the Cordillera Huayhuash 8 day trek in June 2023. He is an experienced guide with a true passion for what he does.

I had lingering travelers sickness on night one of the hike (vomiting and diarrhea), and he calmly discussed options with me the next morning and made me feel at ease about the situation. After taking medicine and riding the “emergency” horse for the second day I felt much better and the remainder of the trek was seamless.

Rudoplho’s team for the trek also includes an excellent cook Aurelio who prepares tasty meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I am not kidding when I say the meals were better than much of the other food I’ve tried in Peru.

Look no further for an extremely professional and knowledgeable guide that will ensure the best possible experience for...

I recently did an 8 day trek in Cordillera Huayhuash with Rodolfo and his team. I cannot recommend using his company enough! Rodolfo is an excellent guide, who is much more qualified in terms of climbing/trekking experience and education than many other companies you will find. His team (including the horsemen Oli, and cook Aurelio) are the best and make you feel like family for the duration of your journey, in the worlds most stunning scenery. I am not in the greatest of shape but Rodolfo made sure to stay at a pace I could handle, even helping with my day bag at times (or letting me use a horse as needed). If I am back in the area I know who I will be going with!

To note: my bank made me a little nervous about sending a wire transfer in advance for a deposit, but this is very typical in the area, so don’t...
