Hatun Wasi Hostel — Hotel in Independencia

A friend and I stayed here for about 6 days for our stay in Huaraz. The room was clean and they tidied up everyday. The location is a 5 minute walk outside of the main part of town but we didn't mind. The staff were super friendly and caring. I came down with a stomach bug and they were very helpful and legitimately concerned whenever they saw me.||The breakfast was great as they gave us a few different options every morning to choose from. The views from the upstairs breakfast area were great!||The wifi was typically good but went out occasionally. The shower also had hot water most of the time but there were a few instances where is wasn't working. This hostel is run by family and some of them are actually living there, so you will feel like you are staying in someone else's home. This might not be everyone's cup of tea but I quite enjoyed it. The people were great. They were available round the clock.||||The hostel is basic so don't expect too much. However, the rooms are clean and everything works including the free wi-fi. The breakfast room has terrace and great view of the mountains in the area. The location might not be the best but I chose the hotel since it's close to Movil Tours bus station.
