Hotel Costa del Sol Wyndham - Lima Ciudad — Hotel in Lima Metropolitan Area

Service is outstanding. Miss Kan Yun Carrasco is exceptionally helpful :) I was provided a kettle. There is the possibility of a bathtub or shower, which is rare these days, which made it easier for me to recover after a day of traveling... They also provided me with a stove, in case it was necessary, which I finally did not use. The other thing I liked is the fact that a section of the window, in a corner of it, you could open a little. This allowed fresh air. Lately, in some hotels, you can't open the window ... Finally, the staff in general, from Housekeeping, reception, bar and of course, food and beverage staff, concierge, bell boy, and others, have been so friendly. The other good thing about this hotel is that although it is only 15mts. of transfer, it runs every 30mts. and is free, is the offer to help with a suitcase, etc. from the entrance to the hotel. Also, transfer staff is very friendly, too. The rooms are comfortable, the bed too, the 2 types of pillows that are on the bed, allow one to sleep according to their pillow preference... It is great that Wyndham offers this hotel, apart from the most expensive one, since for example, in my case, I had a problem with my flight, and the airline did not recognize my situation and I had to pay for my own accommodation and fly the next day... USD 250.- for one night (the other hotel), would not have been an option for me, in this case, it was almost half... more reasonably priced. My other option would have been to go outside the airport area, and this would have been an inconvenience for me... In this case, I was able to stay close to the airport, with a free round-trip transfer, stay at a reasonable price and very little time between the hotel and the airport... Breakfast was very tasty, as well … Music in the bar was not very loud, this allowed me to do a little work while waiting for my transfer, I left my bags in the storage, which is also free. In conclusion, I feel that having the option of this hotel, compared to the one that costs USD 250.- is a great opportunity for us travelers, who cannot always afford USD 250.- a night, or don’t want to pay so much for a night’s accommodation. I truly hope this hotel continues to offer travelers like me (most of us, cannot afford USD 250.- a night), the opportunity to stay in such great place … They also offer you a pisco sour or non-alcoholic drink, (2-3 options), which one can drink at any time and/or take to the room. My daughter and I stayed at Costa de Sol Wyndham in Lima City for 4 nights. Visited Lima, Peru for my birthday in December and it was a great choice. At our initial arrival, the bellhops assisted with our luggage from Uber. We got there very early because our flight arrived at 6:17AM and we arrived at the hotel approximately 9:13AM. We asked if we could check in early and we did and we were told we would be able to get a room within two hours. We got our room within that time frame and Jose brought our luggages up to our room. The staff were courteous, hospitable, professional, and well-groomed, and most importantly, the friendly and welcoming front desk staff, the concierge, the bellhop, and even staff in the on-site restaurant made us feel right at home. Our room was modern with an art deco accent of black and white wall displayed boldly behind the heads of the 2 full size beds on the 8th floor with the city view. The beds were clean and well made and each bed had a bed scarf in bright burnt orange and white draped across the foot of the beds. The room had standard amenities, TV, desk, chair, mini fridge, and free WiFi. The bathroom has a tub and the shower has an ideal and strong but not forceful water pressure. We both enjoyed those showers. There is complimentary breakfast daily with a variety of food choices. The menu had food for everyone and if the eggs that were being served is not of your liking, staff will make to order. The hotel has bar, an on-site restaurant, and offers room service at no extra cost. There is a beautiful roof top heated pool, a gym, a sauna, a spa, and guests can schedule a spa treatment. I had a Swedish massage on my birthday and it was excellent and very affordable. My daughter and I enjoyed and loved our stay at Costa del Sol Wyndham in Lima City. Staff were so kind and delightful. We will definitely be back in Peru and we will be staying at Hotel Costa del...

Recently, the hotel was doing a commercial for their restaurant at the hotel bar which I largely had no issue with. However, the photographer and assistant were very rude as they paid zero attention to the fact a key soccer game was being played and started to walk around with their lights and equipment in my space, blinding me shining lights at the tv and ignoring my multiple requests to wait 2 or 3 minutes for the game to end in order to get their shot.  I found it very rude and unprofessional as they laughed and continued to shine the lights in my face.

I complained to the front desk about their behavior as the contracted commercial crew needs to respect the paying customers at the hotel.

I found the hotel's staff response to be very lacking. Opposed to addressing the commercial crew as asked, the staff directed their attention towards me like I was the issue and sent multiple people to talk to me. Overall, I found Alphino's demeanor and attempt to talk to me very insulting which did very little to remedy the issue.

Hopefully, the low review will bring the attention back to the paying customers at the hotel and get them to have their contractors to respect the guest.

Finally, I found Paparika to be tasteless and over priced but it seems to get high reviews as there are not a lot of restaurants...
