I stayed for 2 nights last September 2018 after a month-long tour in Peru and was very satisfied with the service received. When I arrived I understandably had to wait for about 2 hours to get my room because all rooms were being cleaned and it was about 9:30-10:00 am. My room (Grey Room) was large, very nice, clean, facing the back of the property on the 1st floor (not the ground level), quiet enough, comfortable, with good daylight, and good access to the internet through WiFi and a TV. There is a large and comfortable living room for the guests. The breakfast was good, buffet type with reasonable choices. Throughout the day you can get hot beverages like coffee, tea, mate de coca, etc. free of charge. I do not know if they offer laundry services but there are shops in the neighborhood (lavanderias) that offer it. The location of this lodge is very convenient in MIraflores in a neighborhood that is safe and nice. There is traffic in the street but it is not so overwhelming. Just 4 blocks and a half towards the South is Av Pardo where you find the offices of banks and the major airlines, plenty of transportation (buses, taxis, combis), a good supermarket, and things like retail shops, pharmacies, etc. Once you are in Av Pardo your easily reach the Ovalo de Miraflores just waling for about 10-15 minutes. Towards the North this lodge is just half a block from Av Angamos Oeste, a gateway to Paseo de La Republica. The setting and furniture of this lodge is modern, and I understand it has been recently renovated. Another convenient feature of this lodge is that it is located ~ 5 blocks from the Doubletree Hotel (corner of Av Pardo and Jr Independencia) where you can take the Expresso Miraflores towards the airport. I recommend this lodge as a good option in Miraflores without reservations. Within the category of Bed and Breakfasts/Lodges it offers a...
Read moreWe would not recommend booking this B and B. We were looking forward to staying here after looking at the photos- we arrived early from a night bus. Sadly the room was not ready, which is understandable but they made us pay straight away but told us we would have to wait until check in. When we returned to check in, we were escorted to a completely different building. And we were then told we were sharing an apartment with other people and not actually staying at the B and B at all. We were quite confused and asked if we could stay in the B and B. After a lot of patronising explanation by the receptionist, we managed to talk to the manager who was helpful and explained that all rooms with shared bathrooms were not actually on the site. This was not stated anywhere on the website. We got moved to another room but had to pay more as it was en suit, we also had to wait almost an extra hour for it to be cleaned. All in all if you want a relaxing place to stay in Lima don't chose this place. A waste of our...
Read moreI had a lovely stay here. The team made me feel completely at home. A little Spanish goes a long way, as the team do not speak a lot of English, as is normal in Peru. The room was large and clean, and breakfast was simple and tasty. The area is perfect - as a solo female traveller, I felt completely safe walking around at night, plus it's super close to Huaca Pucclana (and the fabulous adjacent restaurant with views of the ruins), restaurant Panchamiya, Punto Azul, and Maido. It also seems to be a convenient place for Ubers to pick up from. I can see that other travellers have suggested it is difficult to get in at night - this was not my experience, as every guest has a key to open the gate (which is bright red and easy to find, next to a hummingbird mural by a famous...
