This hotel was the starting point for a group tour I was booked on. I booked an extra couple of nights so I could explore Lima. Hotel room was clean and spacious and the hotel is in a good location in Miraflores in Lima. A short walk up the street and you can visit a stepped pyramid 'Huaca Pucllana' and a the main city is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. The lift is tiny and VERY slow so most people opt for the stairs which has very loud closing doors - so you are constantly hearing them being opened and closed at ALL times of the day and night. Air conditioner is old and noisy too! My room was close to the stairwell so I didn't sleep much - can hear conversations in the hallway and in other rooms too! Breakfast has a variety of choice but not great quality. I ate in the restaurant on my first night and the food was served luke warm (I think it is prepared, frozen and then warmed up on order). Personally I would not recommend to book here unless you have no other choice. I have let the tour company know that this is not the best...
Read moreArrived last evening around 20.15 expecting for a Wednesday evening to be quiet. How wrong can you be! Car park nearly full. We entered and a very nice foreign lady greeted us so I asked for a table for 2, she warned us that the kitchen were really busy and the wait vould be around 40minutes. We decided to stay and were taken to our table. Our server Oliver took our food order and brought our drinks. We were happily chatting (and drinking) away when our food was served no more than half an hour after ordering. My wife's Sirloin wasnt quite medium rare but tender and tasty my Rib rye was ok.||The service from Oliver was exceptional who is working full time during his gap year, Chef & Brewer should try and put him on a management course hes a natural.||I did a review on Google regarding a party we had a couple of Saturdays ago mentioning the service we received from Amy and Katrina. Management must be really proud of all their hard work producing such a happy team.||Thank you to...
Read moreWe stayed for 2 nights March 2 and 3 leaving the morning of the 4th. On the 4 th my husband packed his carry on bag and in it was a small plastic bag with $80 in US currency. He left the bag in our locked room, went for breakfast and returned about 45 minutes later. We then took our bags with us, went to the airport and flew to Arequipa. When we arrived at our hotel he unpacked, and found he now had an empty bag. The money is gone. The only time this bag was not with us was during breakfast. I contacted the hotel using the email in their web site, they have not contacted me. I have advised our travel agent and tour company. I think the least the hotel could have done was contact me and indicate they would look into the matter. They have not and I have waited long enough before posting this. While this is a basic hotel in a convenient area, I cannot recommend it. If anyone does stay there be...
