I checked in at around 11.30pm. There were 2 cleaners lounging around in reception and the place smelled odd. Food smells covered by cleaning fluid or something. I knew how to ask for my reservation in Spanish but was answered by a brusque, "Passport". The lady's English was fair so I asked for some milk, in English and again in Spanish. I don't know what happened but I had to ring later. I also needed to ask for hangers - there were only 4 - and despite looking it up in Spanish you would have thought I'd asked for the moon.||There was nowhere to put my case while I unpacked but maybe that isn't necessary. There was no bedside light, only 2 spotlights either side of the bed which were really bright. The safe was locked closed. I asked for it to be opened and instead I seemed to get a new safe, not secured, you could just pick it up - useless. The bathroom fan was so noisy it was unpleasant to use the bathroom and my room had no view, just straight out onto other peoples's windows. Decorated 1980s style. Not great.||My room was on floor 6 but on one of the lifts the button to that floor was initially just wires and then was covered by masking tape. So, I had to go to floor 7 and walk down - until that button broke too so then I had to go to floor 5 and walk up. You can't just get the other lift because the other won't come if one is already there. ||The breakfast is below average. Not much of it or choice and the fruit isn't that fresh. The coffee is only ok if you get there when it is first made. Don't bother after 7.30am.||BUT I was there to run a training event and the staff that run that were brilliant, they couldn't do enough for me.||The food was really good. The Lomo Saltado, on room service, was so tasty and cooked beautifully. The food at lunchtime and breaks were also great.||I told the hotel how unhappy I was and they noticed I only ate fruit, not cake, and sent a lovely basket of fruit. At the end of my stay they were incredibly helpful sorting out my missing car to the airport. The wifi was great, never dropped out.||So, there were issues but I think the main thing is that the place needs serious money spending on it. The staff are doing their best but in difficult circumstances. Once I stopped being so fed up the staff did turn out...
Read moreAll staff were very helpful and friendly, I could not fault them. Reception booked trips and gave lots of information, very helpful and information gratefully received. It has to be borne in mind, that it was a very reasonable price, a suite for £147 for 2 nights. Lovely big big comfortable bed, clean bedding, although no mattress protector. Bedside tables and close by plugs and lights. Not much furniture in the room, but that was ok. Housekeeping could be improved by about 20% to bring it up to a better standard and maintenance another 30%, that would make this hotel much better. Breakfast: we had fruit, yoghurt, toast, scrambled eggs. As Brits, we didn't find anything further we could eat, but that was all acceptable and fine. (Coffee like sludge as ever in hotels in my opinion). Wi-fi is a little hap hazard, but staff keen to help. Sockets in our room were old and loose, plugs charging phones etc, did not fit properly, slipped out and didn't charge. The rooftop pool has to be booked as it is a small area, that's fine, but the surrounding area could be improved considerably if it was tidied up, weeded and presented in a better manner. Overall we had a good stay and enjoyed Lima and the location of the hotel was good. We did have to walk quite a way, 10 / 15 mins, to get to the centre, but the view on the way was interesting and good. It is a busy, noisy area, but this just shows it is a bustling city. Airport pick up and return was excellent and good value for money. Johao held up a nameboard and took out luggage for us, very welcome help after a long flight. Overall a very...
Read moreFabulous hotel friendly and very helpful staff. Rooms are clean and spacious. We booked a superior double and the room was great. The huge bed was extremely comfortable. Plenty of wardrobe space, and a comfy leather couch. Breakfast is absolutely amazing 👏 🤩. Huge choice of dishes from pastries, fruit, yoghurt, to hot cooked dishes, breakfast caters for different tastes. Highlight was the Lomo saltalda. Wagner our waiter was very attentive and explained what different foods were and encouraged us to try new Peruvian delicacies. He was always smiling and very helpful. Reception staff are very helpful, friendly and polite. The location of the hotel is absolutely fantastic. It is around 45 minutes from Jorge Chaves airport. A huge bonus was the Miraflores pyramid (Huaca Pucllana) which was on our list of things to see in Lima, it was literally across the road and could be seen from the hotel. There are many shops, bars, restaurants and ATMs nearby. We would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Lima from a couple of nights to a longer stay. Extremely...
