Sleeping on a man-made floating island—unbelievable, but true! We stayed with Juan for two nights and had an absolutely amazing experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. Juan is such a lovely human being—warm, welcoming, and full of heart. We would honestly recommend visiting just to spend time with him! He and his family prepared delicious breakfasts and dinners, and were incredibly accommodating throughout our stay. Juan even woke up at 5:00 AM to take us back to Puno—what a legend! This is a stay we’ll never forget.

Simples e Mágico A primeira coisa importante de saber antes de vir é que aqui não é um hotel. Com isso, a cabeça deve estar aberta a essa experiência mágica que é dormir nos Uros. Dito isso, posso afirmar com segurança que é um dos lugares mais especiais que já estive. Felix e sua mulher não podiam ter me recebido melhor. Fiquei duas noites em um quarto simples e muito confortável na beira do titicaca. O banheiro do quarto é confortável e conta com um mictório, uma privada ecológica (não tem encanamento), uma pia e uma ducha fria (que acabei não usando), já que o banho quente (sim tem banho quente) fica do lado de fora a alguns passos). De novo, por você estar sob ilhas flutuantes, não espere luxo. A noite faz muito frio (fui final de setembro), mesmo dentro do quarto. Mas não passei frio pq o Félix trouxe uma garrafa de água quente para deixar dentro da cama antes de dormir. Tem um aquecedor ecológico tbm dentro do quarto feito com álcool sustentável que ajuda um pouco. O quarto não tem tranca na porta, mas não se preocupe, é muito seguro. Comi jantar e café da manhã na “propriedade” comidas simples e gostosas. O café da manhã em especial é muito gostoso com produtos locais como panqueca de quinoa, frutas e é claro o chá de coca. Nos passeios que fiz com o próprio Félix ele me mostrou boa parte das ilhas flutuantes onde moram famílias inteiras, me explicou sobre a história das civilizações andinas, das construções dos Uros e sobre a fauna e flora locais com maestria! A energia do Felix combina muito com a do lugar. Simples e mágico

Amazing!!! What an incredible experience. Totally worth spending a night here instead of doing a day tour. The hosts (Felix and Milagros) were super friendly and accommodating. The food and transportation was excellent. We really enjoyed living like a local for a day.

I have paid for the excursion and no one informed me that inner boat transportation is not included in the trip! I had no cash on me as i knew everything was paid and i was leaving the country right after the trip. The make all people pay 10 soles to go on the boat from family island to main island. I told to the guy i have a problem i don't have cash on me, he said i can pay with dollars. But i don't want to change 100uds i am leaving the country right away, he said i can wait here on the island and they wanted to leave with out me! I paid for that excursion and no one gave me a note that i must bring cash that inner boat was not included. Then the guy came to collect 10 soles from each and i told me i am sorry i have no cash, he became so rude and angry demanding his 10 soles from me, i said i was not informed i have not. He was insisting i give him 100 usd!! Was very unpleasant situation. Make the excursion 40 soles but make everything included from the beginning but don't put me in circumstances when you are trapped in the island with no cash and they don't want to bring you back. Its spoil all...

Felix is the most amazing host we‘ve met so far. He made sure we had the most amazing time on the island. The house right next to the lake is so beautiful, the Bed is very comfortable, and the sunbeds are so calm to chill out and enjoy the views the food was local and really delicious you can book tours with Felix, he knows everything and he will explain you the island life in a very interessting way everything is very sustainable best views for the sunsets from the sunbeds we we‘re so glad we‘ve booked with Felix, I can‘t imagine a better host and...
