TOO TOURISTIC and using children: we wanted to get there and sleep into a community. Instead we arrived on an island, they asked everybody to sit and get an explanation about how they build the islands (quite interesting). BUT Then we've been asked to "collaborate" and buy their stuff. Then arrived the "Merced": typical boat with no motor, pushed by an other motorboat driven by a teenager, while a little girl is singing and asking money (she was 4 years old). We didn't stay but asked the price of a night: 100 soles - we said no - they offered 50 soles. Prefer the other islands, this is a touristic trick!!

Sigue siendo muy interesante ver como usan aún las técnicas ancestrales de islas flotantes, a pesar de todas las dificultades que tienen para vivir. El sitio es muy limpio, tiene cosas nuy interesantes que ver y aprender. Las vistas son increíbles y la gente amable. Lo único malo es que toda la comida es que se vende en las islas es carísima

Sigue siendo muy interesante ver como usan aún las técnicas ancestrales de islas flotantes, a pesar de todas las dificultades que tienen para vivir. El sitio es muy limpio, tiene cosas nuy interesantes que ver y aprender. Las vistas son increíbles y la gente amable. Lo único malo es que toda la comida es que se vende en las islas es carísima

Estas bonitas islas flotantes estan hechas de totora, plantas que crecen en el mismo lago. Bonitas vistas del lago. Sus habitantes son muy amables, viven del turismo y la pesca. Lo único malo es que las cosas que venden son caras. Realmente si vale la pena venir si vienes a Puno.

Pésimo . Nos estafaron.... Tomé un bote o barco muy temprano. acordamos un pasaje de 15 soles por persona para hacer el recorrido... Pero al llegar a la primera isla nos quisieron obligar a subir a otro bote artesanal con cabezas de puma. Y teníamos q pagar otros 15 soles por persona ... Nosotros les indicamos q no se nos había comunicado de ese transbordo con otro costo. Pero las personas se mostraron muy mal educadas. Luego y Debido a no estuvimos de acuerdo tuvimos una discusión y nos devolvieron al puerto y no pudimos visitar nada. Literalmente no vimos nada muy mala experiencia. No volveré nunca. Ojalá mejoren el trato y dejen de estafar a...
