AVA Valle Sagrado Spot — Hotel in Urubamba

Terrible experience. Our room was 1 of 6 in a dark echoey corridor (adjacent to reception) which is a thoroughfare to some of the other rooms. With doors at either end these are constantly being opened & closed other than between just after midnight to around 5am. Added to that we had a German film crew using a room one down from us to work on their production. Whilst they weren’t loud every sound carries and is amplified in the corridor…||The restaurant was empty on our first night even though the hotel was supposedly full but had a few people on our second & final night- probably because it was so cold that staff and guests were dressed in coats & scarfs. ||During breakfast on our first morning the coffee ran out and wasn’t replaced the whole time we ate breakfast.||If you want to stay here suggest you make sure your room isn’t in the described corridor and if it’s cold, be prepared to wrap up warm for any meal in...

I was part of a tour group that stayed here. The food was okay and the exterior was really tranquil. However, the location is very isolated making it hard to get food elsewhere.

My biggest issue was the bedroom. They gave us one full size bed for two people to share. The shower had mold and the hot water ran out quickly. It smelled pretty unpleasant as well. Lastly, we had no heat.

The worst part was our room was located right next to a meeting room of some sort. The staff were talking loudly very late at night and very early morning (after 11pm and before 6am) with the door to the room open. I had to shush them three times which seems ridiculous. They would also take phone calls in the hallways, which are very echo-y. I heard another guest come out to shush them as well, so I think the whole hallway could hear them. I don’t know what they were doing but it was so rude and disruptive. I would not recommend this...

I brought a group of 14 to AVA SPOT to lead a yoga retreat for 1 week. From the beginning AVA had excellent communication. Months leading up to our arrival, I was in touch with the team via WhatsApp and they not only responded to all of my questions in a timely manner, but they were very accommodating. Upon our arrival we were greeted and treated with warmth, positivity and genuine care. The AVA team truly went above and beyond in making sure we had the most spectacular stay. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are spacious, the yoga shall was perfect and the food was amazing!
