Check out the reviews on Booking.com. .The owner prefers reviews on there. We stayed for 3 nights at Valcava B & B and had a lovely time. Jorge the owner is really friendly and aims to please .||||We did our day trips to the Salineras salt pools, and inca ruins from here rather than Cusco.||||The building and rooms look brand new and have been finished to a high standard. Extremely clean and colourful decor with comfortable beds and hot showers. This was a great price too ( 49 soles a night) ||||There is an amazing roof terrace where you get 360 degree panoramic views over URUBAMBA and the surrounding mountains. I loved sitting and chilling up there - admiring the views.||||There are three generous choices for breakfast. (That include a mixture of Eggs, cereal, yoghurt, fruit, bread and jam) good quality food and presentation.||||Even though the bathrooms are shared, this isn't an issue as there are 3 newly furbished suites for just 6 rooms. ||We had the largest ( and best ) room (#1) with large windows for natural light. ||||Jorge also rents good bikes for riding around the area for a good price. You don't have to walk far for food as he has a pizza place downstairs. Or there is the option of the basic kitchen or other restaurants 5 minutes away.||||This B & B was bright, clean, friendly and a really great place to stay. Close to the restaurants, market & plaza de Armas . ||The bus terminal is only approx 15 minute walk or you can get a tuc tuc / taxi.||||We would strongly recommend staying at Valcava and would definitely come back if we end up in Urubamba again. ||Thank you Jorge for your hospitality. ||||Tip: ||if you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs as there are local dogs in the neighbourhood that enjoy a bark from time to time. ||This is no reflection on the...
Read moreReally clean, centrally located and very friendly and helpful owners. Great breakfast and a beautiful roof terrace for guests to enjoy. I cannot recommend Jorge's b & b enough. Very generous breakfast and great wifi and really cheap. We paid 95 soles for one double room and one triple room for the night total. The triple room - room 1 was def the best of the two, but they are all really clean with very comfortable beds. There is also a kitchen and lounge for guest. Great place! Not much to see in Urubamba, but great cycling and hiking. Pisac is amazing, we also lived the salt pools. Moray was not so stunning for us, but then we'd already seen a lot of crop...
Read moreMy girlfiend and I stayed at the B&B Valcava for a couple of days in 2018. For us, it was the perfect base for multiple day hikes in the regions (recommend to do Huchoy Cusco) and the owner (or the owner's son, I am not sure what the relationships were) was very helpful when we planned our trip. He even gave us his GPS in order to be on the safe side for our hike to Huchoy Cusco. It was a very nice experience, the roof top terrace is very beautiful and the dinner in the pizzeria after a long hike was a real treat.||Our room was very spacious and everything was clean and up to standards.||Thanks once again for the...
