This has been the worst food I have eaten since being in peru. If I could give zero stars I would. Horrible customer service. I asked the waiter what he recommended, and he told me the meat was very tender, so I ordered the plate at 17 soles. The meat was over cooked not tender and left sitting too long which made everything on the plate cold (the meat, fries, and rice were all cold). I waited a long time to get my food. I was starving by the time it arrived and ate the only thing that was hot which was the over cooked egg. I didn't eat of the rubber meat or anything else yet they discounted 7 soles off my plate that was originally 17 soles. The specialty juice of orange, pina and honey at 9 soles was over a third pulp and not very good. I am shocked they charged me for a plate I left there. The fries, the rice and meat were cold which is why I left it all there. They offered to make me chicken as a replacement & I was not about to wait another half hour for something I didn't want to eat. I got food poisoning from chicken in Iquitos and no longer desire to eat it. So many more better options for quality food. The owner was not willing to go look at the plate and juice when I asked him to. The service is horrible the food is horrible and overpriced. You can only use cash there. Many other places in the area serve a huge plate and an entire meal with delicious food for 20 soles and you can use credit cards. I didn't get a chance to take a photo because I had to go look for the waiter and owner to explain the plate of food...
Read moreI found this place by accident when I was walking one evening on my 2nd night in Urubamba. The courtyard seating area is nice and there are many locals eating here. I was quite hungry so I was happy to be served quickly, and waitress was very nice. I wanted something light so I ordered the Lomo Quinoco Saltado huancaina (S./17), the beef was well done, so I'd recommend you ask for it to be cooked to your preference. I also had jugo de papaya (S./6) and Cheesecake de Macuya (S./6). I enjoyed my food and the atmosphere was very comfortable...
Read moreThis is the best place to chill, get some amazing pastries, good coffee/espresso options, cheap eats, great atmosphere, good WiFi. They have indoor & outdoor seating. Its an absolute gem in Urubamba. I came here for coffee/breakfast a lot while I was here. If you want to just hang out somewhere comfortable, get some work done or just surf the net, read a book, journal, this is the place. Just jump in a mototaxi (if its yo far to walk) and tell them Antojitos. They all know...
