I was brought here as part of my tour, and I was delighted to dine here. The atmosphere was colonial, and I knew that this place had to be the one. I was given a lunch menu to choose from, as well as drinks to accompany my meal. I picked Chicha Morada & Coca tea, Causa Criolla as an appetizer, Trucha de Titicaca as my main entree and Picarones as a dessert! Focaccia was brought as a starter, which was very nice. I liked overall presentation of each dish, and the flavor was amazing. I was very impressed with curry quinotto (quinoa?) because the curry flavor stood out without overpowering the trout. The unfortunate thing was that I didn’t have enough time to throughly enjoy the entire course, as I had an hour for lunch. Therefore, I asked the dessert to go, and they obliged. They were tasty even on the bus…chewy and sweet. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice meal.

We stayed in Urumbamba two nights and ate here for dinner both nights. The first time we got a delicious salad and pizza. The second time we got the grilled alpaca appetizer and followed it with grilled chicken (salad and fries). We also had pisco sours! The food was hot, well prepared and delicious. The salad was unique and full of interesting ingredients (see photo). The alpaca was wonderful! So happy we got to try eating it. Pisco sour drink reminded me of a fluffy lime margarita (fluffy because of the frothy egg white). Very tasty. There was live music both nights which was a little too loud in my opinion. The staff was excellent; attentive and efficient. I highly recommend this restaurant!! We took a tuktuk to and from our hotel. It only cost about $2 each way. Definitely an adventure!

We had an amazing experience. Not all servers know English. However, the one that could speak, helped us a lot regarding all our questions about food or anything else around the neighborhood. The food and dessert were delicious. Just keep in mind they have a few items out of their menu. They are posted at their door. The building and decorating are classical colonial design, very beautiful.

Unfortunate experience. My wife sim and I stopped in for lunch. They both ordered chicken quarter breasts. In ordered a steak sandwich, with the steak cooked medium.

When the chicken came out there was one breast quarter and one leg quarter. We said that was not what we ordered and asked them to fix the order. The wait staff retreated for a few minutes, then the original waitress retired returned ( not sure if she was angry or scared, but she was breathing heavily) to say that this was all that there was and that there would be no changes. End of discussion.

Additionally, my medium steak sandwich was purple rare, but I wasn't in the mood to discuss after watching the chicken interaction. The steak was chewy, the chicken was decent, but not great.

In the the end, they credited back my son's lemonade. A better attitude would have been preferred. Perhaps a trainee? If so, they sound have been coached...

Went into this restaurant with very high expectations. It is set on the side of the town square with an attractive frontage. The restaurant is upstairs and will also serve good coffees. The inside is very elegant and great atmosphere. I guess regarding food, it very much depends on what you order. From our experience, the seafood risotto was excellent and totally on point - HOWEVER, unfortunately the lamb shank was very disappointing. The sauce was extremely salty, very small in size, very tough and accompanied by virtually NOTHING. It just had 3 ravioli, three!!, on the plate, and nothing else. This is not what we have experienced through our travels in Peru, or what this level of restaurant should be serving. As a result, this rather spoilt the evening. As for the rest of the menu, I really can't say as...
