We wished that we could give it 5+ stars, but there were a couple of things that deterred us from that.....
On arrival to our room- we could smell a terrible smell. However, we arrived late and went to bed. The next morning, we reported it to the front desk- prior to our outing for the day. When we returned, the smell had gotten worse (it was either sewage or a decomposing corpse). No one had looked in to it. The evening manager was absolutely lovely and immediately changed our room. However, I do not think that the front desk staff were aware that our room had been changed and the following morning, we got a knock on our door asking us if we were checking out?! We still had another night to stay..... As well, the air conditioning in our new room was not working. They did bring us a fan. Again, that day, no one looked in to the broken AC and this was not rectified prior to us leaving the following day.
We did eat at the restaurant. It was quite busy, but we had lovely service and the food was surprisingly good! We enjoyed eating our breakfast and watching the alpacas. The grounds are absolutely lovely and the staff were all very helpful. If it wasn't for the stench and the broken AC they would definitely...
Read moreThis was such a lovely resort/ retreat!! The pictures on here doesn’t do it justice! The hotel arranged transportation pickup for us weeks prior to arrival (additional fee). They’re really fast at replying and very informative through emailing. Upon arriving at Cusco airport it was quite easy to find our driver because he had my name on a sign. The transportation there take 1 1/2 hrs outside the city (on the way to Machu Picchu). The drive was very scenic going through local towns and rural farmlands. Very beautiful ride!! Check in was very easy and front desk staff was very friendly and helpful during my entire stay. The property is very big, very well maintain, and extremely relaxing. This is the perfect getaway with so much greenery and nature all around you. There’s a river below ish to the resort so you can hear the river. Very relaxing! There’s also a few alpacas n sheeps who lives on the property !! They allow you to get somewhat close to them but approach them gently!! We had both breakfast and dinner on property. Breakfast was included in my booking and it was delicious!! Dinner was even more delicious!!! Overall, I was very impressed with...
Read moreWe stayed at this hotel for 7 days while attending a retreat, and it was honestly one of the most peaceful and memorable experiences we’ve had. From the moment we arrived, the calm and quiet atmosphere made us feel at ease. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful mountains, and every night felt magical with the clear skies, stars and fresh air. It was the perfect setting to disconnect and just be present.
One of the things we really appreciated was how the hotel had so many quiet spots for meditation and reflection. Whether it was in the garden, by the trees, by the temples or simply in one of the cozy corners around the property, there was always a peaceful place to sit and just take in the surroundings. We were also able to connect with local shamans through the hotel for ceremonies, which was a very special part of our stay.
The staff were kind and helpful throughout our time there.
If you’re looking for a quiet, spiritual place to recharge—whether you’re joining a retreat or just need a break—I can’t recommend this hotel enough. It’s a place that really stays with you, even after...
